Ice cream was fine and service was quick. A small cone cost over $5, which seemed very high for the quantity. It’s an ok place to stop, but there are better options in the area. Cash only.

Pennocks has been a staple for our annual family trip to the cottage. They have many flavors and are friendly. As a PSA, bring cash. This is a small seasonal business and they do not take cards. The Dollar General across the street is a good place to get cash if needed. Support this wonderful local business! Great people, great ice cream.

There is not a friendly vibe. It is quite close to the road on Route 3. You have to pay extra if you want a dish and a spoon for the kids. My son’s ice cream had ice crystals on it. All 3 of our hard ice creams were very soft. I prefer hard, hard ice cream, so the texture ruined it for me.

Grumpy older lady argued with me about a mistake she made on the order. Plus the prices are the highest in the area with the smallest portions. You know they value customer service when they label the garbage cans “ice cream garbage only”. They used to be a great place to come to but, not anymore! We will not be back!

I was a regular customer here until I got yelled at for throwing out 1 cup in their trash while waiting in line for icecream the greasy haired lady told me no outside trash and that I needed to take it out, I had no problem doing so until she refused me a napkin to dig through the garbage to retrieve my small Dunkin cup, she then forced my mom to dig into the trash with her bare hands to retrieve the cup. I went to the icecream shop down the road after called creek side custards and told them what happened and asked if it was okay if I threw out my cup and the lady said absolutely and said to throw out whatever I needed. Also icecream prices are much cheaper at the cream side custard! And taste better too.
I am from Kentucky and I asked for Butter Pecan ice cream and when I said it she rudely corrected me and said i was wrong because I didn’t pronounce it how she did and then proceeded to call me d*** and i’m 14. DO NOT RECOMMEND
