Been comming here for years and my parents (locals) must eat here a few nights a week through the summer and winters. Get the WINGS!! And Lobster Roll, ect.... it's all good, you will not be disappointed. Often crowded and can occasionally take an hour to get a table. Put your name down and have a drink. Its worth it.

Excellent lunch! We had the crab spring rolls and an order of guac with fried plantains for apps...lunch was a lobster roll and tuna. Drinks were good and the service was great. We would love to go back again!

Based on the reviews I read after dining here, I’m surprised as we actually had a great time and the hostess was very kind to us and sat us right away. It was about 9 on a Sunday night and the restaurant was full but she found us a great table in the bar area almost immediately. I feel if you treat people with respect and kindness you receive the same thing back. My wife and I are not famous nor Hamptons or NYC billionaires but we walked up with a smile and had a quick nice dialogue with her and she reciprocated the pleasantries. We witnessed such obnoxious behavior by patrons at various restaurants, so I can understand why the hostess would have no patience for that and not tolerate being treated like a lowly proletarian. We had a great meal which included a Caesar salad, Manhattan chowder, scallops and the Chicken Milanese special along with a nice bottle of Pinot Gris. The price was fair being the Hamptons and our waiter Gilbert from Brazil was wonderful. and enjoyed speaking with him throughout the meal. This was a solid final meal to end a wonderful weekend in The Hamptons.

My daughter and I were sitting about 10 minutes enjoying a glass of wine when the hostess told us there was a pace they like to keep so ‘please do’ order soon. We were 1 of only 2 outdoor tables taken. About 15 other tables were empty!! The whole dinner was rushed and not relaxing. When I told the nasty hostess that we’ve never been to a restaurant that rushed us like this she said ‘well now you have!’ Really?? Avoid this restaurant.

They called The Dockside Bar & Grill from the car and were told there would be maybe a 10-minute wait for a table outside. They walked in shortly after and were told it would be at least a 30-minute wait for a table outside. There were empty tables throughout the restaurant, the female owner/manager sat them in the back room.When they did get wait service, one friend had asked to order a burger plain on a bun, the waiter replied no, adding burgers come already assembled on an open bun, told she’d have to "pick off" whatever she didn’t want when it came. They felt uncomfortable with the interaction had and started to feel both the owner/manager and waiter didn’t want them there and were trying to get them to leave the restaurant by providing less than optimal customer and table service.After paying the bill and leaving a tip they got up to go, the owner/manager started to clear their table. As they were walking out the owner/manager came chasing after them to stop and come back, which they did, she began yelling at them about the tip they had just left on the table…she said, it “wasn’t enough”. They had left a 16% tip and expressed, they were college students living paycheck to paycheck, thoughtful about how they spend their money and felt the tip given appropriately reflected the service they were provided.The female owner/manager continued to raise her voice and berate them as they stood there, mortified, not knowing what to do. She stated at one point, “THIS IS WHY I DON”T LIKE TO SEAT KIDS IN MY RESTAURANT!!!” She verbally pushed them, relentlessly bullying them for more tip money...they emptied their pockets including the change they had, she was given the money, they were shook.Putting my view as a parent aside, from an HR executive’s standpoint, this business owner’s overt displays of Age Discrimination and verbal Psychological Coercion were Deliberate and done, Knowingly, Willfully and with self-serving Malice.To: The owner, I’ve read through reviews (the stellar and the not so stellar), don’t believe this was the first time nor the last time you’ll act in this manor. Somehow you seem to feel your actions and behaviors are justified, whether it be because of how you personally perceived your customer, the business burdens you feel you face daily due to owning your own business or the pandemic…I ask you, when all is said and done and it’s just you at night thinking back on your day and how you positively impacted the people and world around you, “Aren’t you Embarrassed?”

Always my favourite place to have dinner when are here visiting family for the summer. The menu has a little of everything. Crab cake were my choice this time and they weee amazing as always. Not fishy at all and the perfect amount of crab meat. Drinks are reasonably priced and the chicken wings are a must. Be prepared to wait if you want an outside table at dinner time during the summer months but they have lots of outside tables to sit at while you wait or there is always a chance to grab a seat at the bar. Never feel rushed and the wait staff are very lovely.

Rude hostess, unfriendly service, and bland food. I will never return. Especially avoid if you have kids of any age. They make it very clear that kids are not welcome.

Everything is great but come prepared to wait if you want to@sit outside in summer time…. It’s worth the wait. Really enjoy the lobster rolls of course but spring rolls and crab cakes are amazing too

DocksideOwners Elizabeth and Stacey run their restaurant flawlessly.The food is excellentFresh fish prepared and cooked to perfection.I had the calamari shrimp and steamed lobster.Cocktail was spicey Margherita made with fresh squeezed Cucumber juice lime juice orange juice and chili pepper if I understood correctly. Delicious.The staff is experienced, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.We were I'm good hands and left satisfied and well taken care of.I could get used to this 5 star restaurant.There are no reservations hereRestaurant opens at 530pm get there before then and wait to be seated first come first served.I highly recommendMaximilianSouthampton
