We frequently dine at Dowlings. The food is always good and the staff could not be nicer and more accommodating. I have food sensitivities and they work to suite my needs. I love that the staff remains loyal and stays there for years! That says something about the business. The shrimp Po boy is my favorite! Crispy, with delicious sriracha sauce, avocado, tomato and red onion. The specials are always tasty! Last nights lobster rigatoni did not disappoint! We love Dowlings!
Appealing place. It was not especially busy, but we sat for 30 minutes before we could get a server. While waiting, the non-English speaking person who attended our table could not communicate with us or get us attention from a server.

Fantastic burger did not disappoint. The only problem was we went at 6:30. It was very crowded and hard to find a parking space. The restaurant cleared out by seven and had gone at 7:30. There would've been plenty of spaces.

The chicken Caesar salad was not good. The lettuce was a little brown and the chicken was terrible. Tasted rubbery and was not breaded but was supposed to be. Also there were ants all over the table. I had them on my shirt when left. Terrible.

Big menu of expertly prepared favorites in a friendly pub environment. Lots of special touches. My salmon came with a delicious ratatouille for example. Kitchen knows what it's doing.

This is a great place in the Hamptons. Very real and unpretentious. Service was wonderful and attentive. Basic food is excellent: burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc. And the ambience is really pleasant, mixing the virtues of a good restaurant, a sports bar and friendly pub. Highly recommended!

Great food and service! We go here often and never had a bad experience. It’s the perfect spot if you feel like upscale comfort food. The best buffalo chicken pizza I’ve ever had!

We arrived early and the staff accommodated us with early seating. Then we added two more to our table and that was no problem for them. They were out of some of the specials, which was disappointing, but the food was very good. Will definitely return!!!

Had a reservation - booth was very tight with plywood attached to back of booth - on other side of room there was no plywood. Very very noisy. Ordered a burger - it arrived barely cooked and cold. I didn't send back because I didn't want to hold up others at my table. Had a similar experience 6 months ago. Cold potato side. I have eaten at this location many times and up until this past year have had favorable experiences. Change of ownership? The waiter and other service people were outstanding. Need to pay attention on the kitchen and what's coming out of there.

Seems like a local / tourist 50/50 split. Made an Open Table reservation, table ready. Tonight was burger night $2 off. Service was spot on, friendly and fast. Food was excellent. Best fries, big charbroil burgers also Rueben excellent.
I had sizzling quesadilla...superb My wife had the salmon pre fixe. Outstanding Brother had the burger and fries. Said was best burger ever Jon was the waiter excellent service Owner actively involved and very knowledgeable and welcoming Affordable prices No credit card fees Highly recommenD

Great local resource, far from the fancy and pretentious East End places. Food is good and plentiful. Service is friendly, and the place is informal and charming. Great desserts and usually terrific specials.
The restaurant is really cute inside and out. We've done here before and will go back again with family and friends. It's a wonderful atmosphere. The food is delicious. Have had several really really good meals here and then wait. Staff is really helpful and friendly Hopley tell you to join your family and friends and have a wonderful dinner there.
Total bust. Made a reservation but had to wait 45 min for a table anyway. Then they tried to seat us at the bar. We ordered an appetizer and it never came. Then the waiter told us he took it off the bill at the end like he was doing us some huge favor. There were flies flying all over the place. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
