Nice place to sit and have a glass of wine, especially during happy hour. But the food was disappointing.

Love love love this place the vibe is amazing and the food and wine are great- but the best part is MAEVA- the French server who is the nicest and coolest server I’ve found in Sag! Great summer place for wine on Main Street!

Agree w/the other poor reviews here. The food isn't terrible, but frankly not great either. I guess it's why you can usually get a table. The problem is really the service. Similar to other folks, we just had a really lousy experience because of the server. She was a young French-speaking woman with glasses; a little clueless and with way too much attitude. We are well-traveled foodies, and have dealt with attitude plenty in the past. If the food and drinks are good, it can be managed. But this was almost comical. She would insist that certain wines weren't available, even though we saw the bottles sitting in the wine cooler on the bar; she'd leave our bottle sitting in a cooler and disappear while our glasses sat empty; she'd go to the other side of the restaurant and start setting up empty tables (the place was at most a third full), instead of bringing us our next course. The lunch dragged on for over two hours because she was so slow and indifferent. And just a bad attitude.
Based on our experience, and the other reviews, they really don't seem to care. I can't understand this, as a fellow business owner. The prices are high, and there are too many other great places to eat in Sag Harbor and the other villages. We've owned a home in the area for 15 years, and have seen a lot of places come and go; it's a competitive market. Unless these guys can turn it around, I'll be they're gone soon as well.

The food is AMAZING!! We had the smoked tuna tartare, fries & bread—all impressive. We also tried the chicken liver pate—not my thing—but very traditional & well-done. We liked the light, French beer too. The young (I think French) man who served us had a great personality & is an excellent server. Beautiful atmosphere. Sitting outside was fun for ppl watching :)

Terrible service, especially given the price
Online open until 11pm
In reality we found them closing before 10pm, wast of a trip.
On top of that, Bartender couldn’t mix any drinks because of a cut finger :/

I was celebrating a special occasion with my girlfriend and friends from the United States at your bistro. The chef’s food was outstanding, and the welcome we received at the entrance was very warm. However, the woman who took our orders was quite unpleasant. We arrived at 6:07 for our 6:00 reservation, and she informed us that we had to leave by 7:30 due to full reservations, despite having made a prior booking. This was the first time I’ve ever encountered a restaurant that imposed time limits on our stay.
One of my friends ordered a Classic Martini, which is typically made with gin, but this lady asked him what type of alcohol he wanted—vodka, tequila, or rum. It was quite disconcerting to see his reaction. Her demeanor towards us was very unwelcoming, and I can’t recall her name since she never introduced herself. I had hoped to share French culture with my friends through its cuisine, but they were so put off by the service that one of them chose not to order any food at all.
Perhaps her attitude towards me was influenced by my Hispanic background, but I take pride in being French, and I’ve never experienced such treatment in my own country or in any other restaurant in America.
In summary, I recommend your bistro for its delicious food, reminiscent of what we have in Paris, but I urge you to enhance the quality of service, regardless of a person’s background. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.
