The cookie butter tastes stale and they don’t use the same one as all the other sobols. Not to mention they charge like 2 dollars a scoop.

Disrespectful towards people with disabilities
The customer service is amazing. I door dashed a bowl for my daughter who is in the hospital. I made an error in ordering and they called me to check and confirm the order and remade everything to her liking. They went above and beyond and I’m so appreciative.

Picking up a catering order and had to wait a few minutes. Staff pushed a customer out of the way, who offered to help me manage a large order into 2 XXL catering bags. Have more c respect for in store customers and have your orders ready to go instead of delaying orders to medical offices.

Food is always very consistent and fresh. Out of all the bowls we try these seem to be the least sugary and most healthy.

I’ve been coming to the SoBol in St. James for years and always loved it—especially when it was run by local young people who were kind and made the environment feel warm and welcoming. But my experience on 4/5 around 3:55 PM was humiliating, upsetting, and flat-out unacceptable. I have a speech disability—I stutter—and while I was trying to order (a regular-sized açaí bowl with Nutella and mangos), the employee helping me walked away mid-order without saying a word. He went into the back and brought out someone else to take my order. While I struggled to speak, he stood in the back and stared at me the entire time, watching me with absolutely no empathy as I was visibly anxious and uncomfortable. It felt like I was being put on display—like a problem they didn’t want to deal with. I ended up typing my order because I was so embarrassed and anxious. Let me be clear: my stutter is not the issue—your staff’s reaction to it is. The lack of patience, the complete disregard for basic human decency, and the way I was made to feel less-than—it was ableist, plain and simple. I never thought I’d have to say this about a place I used to genuinely enjoy, but I left feeling ashamed and angry. If there’s new ownership, it definitely shows—and not in a good way. I hope serious action is taken, because no one should be treated this way for simply speaking differently.

I took my daughter to Sobol in St James after swim practice on a Saturday morning and it was such a treat. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant smelled clean and looked immaculate. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and efficient. My daughter loved her bowl as well! We may make this part of our regular routine. I recommend stopping by if you haven’t already.

Great acai bowl and only negative is the wimpy spoon. The experience & price is premium, yet the most important part is a small wimpy spoon. Luckily, the quality of the bowl makes up for it!
