I popped my head in to checkout the place and prices. ☠️ not paying that much for that kind of quality. Greasy Mexican food has its place in my diet but not for that much. Listen I get it your rent is mad expensive but that’s between you and the landlord.

This place is absolutely amazing. I came in just to grab a quick bite to eat but everything looks so delicious.

I don't know what they call it but I tried a cactus leaf and it was delicious. It has such a flavor that is similar to I guess an artichoke but also very different at the exact same time.

I had two chicken tacos and one chorizo. I love the fact that they have a bar where you can add as much salsa and toppings as you want.

So delicious.

The place is so clean and spotless it's not even funny. Guys behind the counter are awesome and I already be back.

I came here to eat with my family like we always do every other month but this one day we come they don’t have anything regarding tacos? Like they kept telling us they run out but a place like this should always have more than enough and I understand if they not trying to make meat go to waste which is understandable but it’s Saturday 08/23 at 6:46pm and weekends for any restaurants are super busy… out of the 12 options they had for tacos only like 4 were available and this place used to be good but maybe I just had a bad 1 day experience but as of right now this is my review

Tried Cinco de Mayo Tacos for takeout and I genuinely wish I hadn’t.

Ordered birria tacos, and no au jus included. That’s the whole point of birria.
The al pastor? Should be renamed to “unseasoned pork fat.”
Suadero, which they claim is brisket, tasted like it was drowned in ketchup and deep-fried, more like something off the steam table of a cheap Chinese buffet.

The salsas smelled like dirty dish rags, so I couldn’t even bring myself to try them.

Fries at a Mexican place? That was a first time (and not in a good way).

Then the cucumber slices. They were cut so thick I thought they accidentally dropped in half a cucumber. Mushy, flavorless, and just…why?

I stepped inside briefly while waiting for my order, and what I saw made it worse: trays of food sitting out on the bar that looked like they’d been there all week. Nothing looked fresh or appetizing.

I rarely leave reviews, but this was too bad to ignore.

The yellow rice meat and shrimp are excellent.. Kai said that the Beria tacos were only okay. Very authentic Latino food for sure.

Food is good. But I felt the staff was very disrespectful. They gave us a wrong order. When we asked about it, because some in our group could not consume it, they said they’ll give us the proper order. But they still ended up charging for the thing we did not order. Very disappointed. 😞

I’ve been on the hunt for authentic tacos, and I’m so happy to say I’ve finally found them right here in St. James. Tacos Cinco de Mayo serves the best tacos in the area hands down. The portions are generous, and the sauce bar is a great touch that lets you customize your plate just the way you like it.

So far, I’ve tried the brisket tostadas and steak tacos both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I’ve heard rave reviews about the al pastor and birria as well (though I don’t eat pork), and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re just as amazing.

The taqueria is cozy, with seating for around 8 tables, and their drinks are all made in-house. I really enjoyed the Jamaica and tamarindo, and they also offer horchata and passion fruit.

It’s such a great addition to our town, authentic, flavorful, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican food I have ever had on Long Island. Portions are decent, would have liked a little more for the money but it was so good I'm not complaining.

Most authentic, and delicious flavors that I’ve had within 50 miles. I plan on making this a weekly visit.
