Last night was my 5th time using up in smoke. They catered our holiday party and as always it was incredible. The food is always the highlight of the party. If you’re looking for great food and great service, look no further than up in smoke bbq. Thank you again!!!

Definitely 5-star service. I hired Up in Smoke for a family reunion in my back yard. All my pre-event dealings were with Jeff. He was so easy to work with. Willing to accommodate anything I requested. And since this was my first time using them I had tons of questions along the way. Jeff always got back to me immediately!! The menu had more than enough options to choose from and he even added chicken nuggets and fries since we had a ton of little kids. Worked with me on the pricing. Very fair. We had Alex and Bryan as our grilled and they worked no-stop for the entire time. Cleanup left not a trace. And I had tons of leftovers so plenty of food. Everyone was raving about the food! I highly recommend and would use them again in a heartbeat!! (Jeff also recommended wait staff who are not affiliated with them but have worked together often and they were great, too!) First time I’ve hosted a party where I was totally relaxed and got to visit with all the guests and enjoy myself.

I could not recommend this place enough!!From the initial contact with the owner Jeff to the cleanup after our party everyone involved was nothing short of fantastic!We had a graduation party of 100 and everyone kept commenting about the food and the service.The wings, steak, and ribs were cooked to perfection and the side of corn on the cob was my personal favorite.I strongly suggest if you are having any type of party that needs catering to contact them, you won’t be disappointed at all.

I would never recommend this company for anyone who is having a party. My son and future daughter-in-law used them this past Saturday 7/29/23 for their engagement party. They came very highly recommended and that was the reason they used them. The 4 young kids that came didn’t know what they were doing.#1 they said they didn’t have the tables which were in their trailer and the contract that they were bringing their own tables#2 they burned most of the food#3 some food wasn’t even cooked the fries were still cold in the middle they were gross,#4 they were supposed to serve the food which they didn’t do,#5 they left an hour earlier then they were supposed to#6 they cleaned the bbq on the driveway which my son just had redone and left a huge mess#7 they also left food that was supposed to be left on tables on the grass in the sun, the chicken was so thick and burnt that you couldn’t cut it and it was dry as could be#8 & 9 to top it off they were drinking alcohol, my son found out because he pulled up the video from the cameras because someone said something and he also found the drinks in their truck when he had to get in and pull them out of the driveway because the driver couldn’t pull out of the driveway with the trailer.#10 & 11 THEY RAN OUT OF FOOD AS WELL AND TO TOP IT OFF THEY BROUGHT MY SON & DAUGHTER IN LAW A CASE OF THE HIGH NOON SELTZERS ARE YOU JOKING UP IN SMOKE IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT ALL BETTER ???????When my son called to tell this to the owner, the owner was rude and didn’t care about anything my son was saying to him and said he would have someone come pickup the tables and power wash the driveway, which they didn’t do they hosed it off and it’s still a mess.So before you think about booking a party with Up in Smoke BBQ think about finding someplace else. "Up in Smoke" (UIS) is a fitting name for this business. It is a term used when a plan fails or comes to nothing. It is also a term used to describe something destroyed by fire. I wish I could say fire was used in the preparation of the food I sampled, but it may have not been used. I take you to the 4th of July 2023. I attended a party which used brisket purchased from this business. A business that falsely describes, on its corporate web site, its brisket as "smoked brisket". See attached picture from company web site. Note: brisket is the most popular meat for smoking, followed in popularity by pork butt, pork shoulder and ribs. The UIS brisket had zero smoked flavor, and tasted and looked like pot roast (brisket is always sliced against the grain and this was not the case here. There were strings of meat when it fell apart). It had the texture of a chuck roast, cooked as pot roast and then sliced in the shape of brisket slices, though not as long. I emailed an owner named Jeff a few days later to voice my concern. He's apparently in denial. Claims the brisket is now Au Ju's style. Meaning, Cooked in liquid. Conveniently not mentioned on their web site. Again, see picture from web site taken today. Au Ju's is kept a secret from those browsing the web site. Why would a bbq business prepare the most popular smoked cut of meat a different way? I don't know. I can speculate two possibilities. One is laziness. Smoking takes time and effort. Throwing brisket in liquid to cook is easy, yet yields horrible bbq results. The other is difficulty smoking wherever they were smoking. Neighbors often complain about smoke in the air. Happened to Smokin' Al's in Massapequa. Their proper solution for Al's was to smoke food elsewhere. Back to the situation at hand. So Jeff tells me that they sell 3000 pounds of brisket annually and I am the first to complain it isn't smoked by a business built on and around smoke. Laughable. I offered to bring in samples of the alleged beef brisket to demonstrate that it is probably fake and chuck roast instead but my offer was ignored. That says a lot about this business. Jeff claimed that all customers are notified of the Au Jus preparation and I confirmed that was not the case here.

I used up in smoke for my son's 1st birthday party in September. They were absolutely amazing!!!!! So easy to work with, everything they promised they did. The food was amazing the service was awesome. They were friendly, and everyone LOVED the food!!! Would definitely definitely recommend and use them again. Thank you so much.

I have had Up in Smoke cater several events in the past. Every time it is excellent.... The food, the service, and the value. Jeff is very accommodating. The pulled pork and the chicken were especially a hit among my guests. The meats are high quality and the sides are great. The garlic mash is a top pick. I can't recommend Up in Smoke enough! They are a quality local business with very reasonable prices and a great selection at that.
