First time in Saranac Lake and I went there to view the 2024 total solar eclipse. I'm from Long Island, family and wife grew up in NYC, I know good pizza. Let me tell you that I was blown away by the true NYC quality slice I had. It rivals the likes of Joe's pizza in the village and flat out beats most Long Island pizzerias. The thin slice cheese was not too thin, crispy with no flop (but not burnt by any means), and perfect ratio or sauce, cheese, oil. 6 hours north of Long Island I assumed any pizza joint would be garbage in comparison, but I was pleasantly surprised!Don't change anything! Next time I am back I will 100% be getting another pie!

Lasagna was nice & piping hot all the way through. Service was a little slow, but it was Eclipse weekend and busy. All the diners seemed to enjoy the food but it was a one & done for me.

Looks like ours is an unpopular opinion of this establishment. We were staying in the area for the weekend and decided to give Nonna Fina's a try. As we walked in, there was a sign stating they only accepted cash or check. Not a problem - it was nice that we knew that going in. For those who don't carry cash - have no fear there is an ATM in the lobby. We sat at a table by the window and had a lovely view of Lake Saranac and our hotel. When asked what we would like to drink - said we were good with just water thank you. The waitress brought over two bottles of Disani - not explanation for why bottled and not tap but okay. For our dinner we ordered eggplant Parm hero with extra sauce (12 inch size) and a cheese calzone. I asked if the calzone came with a side of sauce and the waitress said you can have that. Okay, great. Food came and the eggplant hero was very skimpy and dry. Tried to get the waitress attention to no avail. My husband went to the pizza counter and politely asked for the additional sauce and they told him she put it on there. Husband said that it was very dry and they reluctantly gave him a small amount of sauce. We ate our dinner. The eggplant was not very good and actually looked like it was not freshly made - like something you get from the freezer section of the supermarket. The calzone was just okay. We asked for the check and when I went to pay, I felt that the bill was a little high so I looked it over and to my surprise they not only charged of for the two bottles of water (okay, I understand), the extra sauce for both my husband ($1.75) and mine ($1.25) they had the nerve to add in an 18% tip to the bill. I have never heard of a restaurant doing that for a party of just 2. Had I not checked that, the waitress would have received that 18% plus a 20% tip I normally leave. I felt that was very tricky on their part. After catching it I just left the total on the bill and no more. So - my advice to anyone going here - be prepared, ask questions about what it is you get and if there are any extra charges. And most importantly, be aware that they sneak the tip onto the bill total.

Nona Fina Pizzeria is a favorite to our family. We live here locally and visit often. Their food and menu is great with a lot of variety. The wait staff is friendly, Accommodating, and attentive. The dining room looks fantastic, and it’s very cozy in the winter by the Fireplace. I highly recommend coming in for pizza or anything else on the menu.

Our family of 5 stopped in for lunch today. They only had a couple of tables being used, plenty of space. We were seated and were offered menus promptly. And I promptly had spaghetti sauce on my finger from picking up the menu. Service was fine, however I asked about the calzones, if they were soft or crusty. Waitress said they were soft. We ended up ordering 5 different calzones! When they were brought to our table, they were all over done, crunchy and even hard to cut through the bottom crust. We won't be back especially after the bill was over $105.

The food was okay. Pretty usual Italian food, pizza was good. But what I found ridiculous is that half of our party of eight said we were fine with just water when the server took our drink order. She brought us each an Aquafina bottled water that were already opened. Then we were charged $3.00 for each water. No warning was given about this. That’s crazy. I’ll never go back.

Both of our pizzas were excellent. My son ordered a bacon jalapeno and it was surprisingly good. They used pickled jalapenos and smoked bacon crumbles. We also ordered a sausage mushroom pizza but they brought us a pepperoni sausage pizza by accident. They offered to make us the correct one but we didn't have time. So, they gave us a few extra drinks and $5 off our order. The garlic knots were tasty, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

A gorgeous girl at the front counter was so helpful. Think her name is India? She was absolutely amazing and gave the best customer service I’ve ever had. She was great under pressure with it being so busy because of winter carnival. She also has the best personality!!!! Super funny, should maybe pursue stand up comedy or maybe a podcast :) overall 10/10 experience cause of her.

The busiest restaurant in town, food and service never disappoints. I had a ziti alla vodka with shrimp, garlic knots, and pizza and it was fantastic as usual! Huge parking lot, easily accessible.

My boyfriend and I come here come here sometimes 1-2 times a week. Whether it’s takr out or dine-in, the service is never short of exceptional and the food is always amazing. Everything is always fresh and warm. We’ve had a couple different waitresses, but the blond waitress is there quite often and she’s always very helpful and pleasant to be around. I’ve never had any issues and will continue to return as often as I do!

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Party of 5 people, 1 appetizer and 5 meals (3 Shrimp Alfredo’s, 1 Cheese Tortellini, and 1 Baked Ziti), and it was $200. They do not split bills, only take cash. The baked ziti was microwaved, the shrimp in the Alfredo was sparse to say the least, and the sauce was slightly under average. Our waitress wasn’t terrible, but she also wasn’t the most friendly or trained in customer service. Automatic 20% gratuity. I would not recommend. We had to substitute the mozzarella sticks because they were not heated properly. My first and, last time, visiting this restaurant. Bottled drinks only.
