Hidden in an alley between Broadway and putnam this little place was delightful to sit outside and watch people without being in the crowd. Staff was attentive and friendly. Craft beer, home made bread with olive oil and Sulla, Marco a almonds the spot while awaiting our mains. Good veggie options

Stumbled on this place when several other nearby restaurants did not have tables. It was a great meal. Tasty food, especially the cod and eggplant dishes, with a nice, quiet ambience. And very reasonably priced!

The food is actually really great. Excellent and flavorful. The atmosphere could be a bit better, but the meal we had was one of the most flavorful meals we've had in decades.

I definitely recommend this restaurant !!! One of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had! I had their lamb shoulder, bulgur salad and vegetarian Syrian curry. The flavors were fantastic and the chef has a way with presentation. The server was attentive and friendly and the food arrived quickly. I would have given 5 stars if the restaurant were not somewhat hidden down an alley and wasn't a deli by day and a wonderful dinner restaurant by night. If the owner were to move to a location on a main street he will be extremely hard to get a reservation for! This is now my favorite restaurant. :)

Deliciously prepared mediterranean food. Reasonable prices. Friendly, attentive and welcoming service.

My husband and I shared four small plates, three vegetarian, each carefully presented. The meal began with house-baked bread and a delicious spiced butter. Our favorite dish was the roasted cauliflower. Staff were welcoming and the space comfortable, decorated with eclectic groups of paintings on the walls. Music played in the background, but softly, so conversation was easy. We'll definitely return when we're next in town.

We couldn't have had a better dining experience. We celebrated our anniversary. We sat at the Chefs Table. Best meal I've had in quite some time. Everything was fresh and delicious. The entire meal was spot on. From shared apps to desserts to the French pressed coffee. This is what dining out is about. I can't recommend them any higher. Run, don't walk to Amuse.

We had an amazing dining experience at Amuse on Broadway. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better spot. We ate at the Chefs Table. The entire meal from appetizers, wine, entrees, to dessert and coffee was fresh and delightful. I give it my highest recommendation.

We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Amuse on Broadway. I can’t say enough positives. Everything was spot on. From shared apps, to entrees, to the wine, to the desserts, to the French pressed coffee. Super fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend Amuse. You won’t be disappointed. These people care. And it shows in everything they do.

What can I fault to take away stars from this review? It's been three days since we dined here and I still can't think of a single negative aspect of the experience. Our Open Table reservation was confirmed upon arrival, and we were offered a choice in seating of a table for two or a table for four with banquette seating for two. We chose the larger, expecting to need plenty of table space for the food we would likely order. The menus for both beverages and food are brief. While only beer and wine are available, the offerings are more than adequate and well thought out. We started out with a glass of Pino Noir - Maison L'Envoyé 2019 ($14) and a Frog Alley Harvest Ale ($7) from the handful each of craft beers, white wines, and red wines. Two different house-made breads were brought to the table along with marinated olives. I'm not an olive fan, but I really enjoyed these and kept going back to the dish for another. Both breads were excellent. One was a non-yeast style with fennel and topped with sesame seeds - sooo good! The other a peasant style with great texture and flavor. There were three categories of food presented: Tapas/Mezze; Tangines/Cazuelas/Paella; and Pizza. Yes, there were even a couple of pizza offerings with a four-cheese blend and san Marzano tomato sauce (maybe on a future visit). We were really having a difficult time trying to narrow our choices among the other two categories. We managed to finally decide on the Hummus ($12) and the Grilled Chorizo ($15) as appetizers. My wife thought for sure that the Chef added something special beyond cumin to the hummus to make it taste so flavorful. She asked him on the way out and he said it only had the normally expected ingredients. The caramelized onions and sherry with the chorizo links had just a hint of spiciness. It was a perfect blend of flavors. We found it impossible to eliminate any of the choices in the Tangines/Cazuelas/Paella section of the menu. Fortunately, the dishes are offered in both "small plate" and "entrée" portions. We simply ordered all four dishes as small plates. Vegetarian Tagine ($13/25) nicely blended tomatoes, eggplant, squash, and chickpeas. Beef Tagine ($17/32), possibly our favorite, had a little bit of sweetness from honey along with prunes, yams, cinnamon, and ginger. The beef was a cut that benefited from its slow, tenderizing cooking and yielded up a wonderful flavor. Syrian Cod Curry ($15/29), another in the running as our favorite, only mildly spicy in its curry, spinach, basmati rice, and chilis. Moroccan Paella ($16/28), a delicious and beautiful presentation of rice with chicken, merguez sausage, peas, and olives was even better the second day. My wife, who always avoids lamb dishes, found the sausage quite good. To finish off our celebration dinner, we had fortunately left room for a house-made Yogurt ($7) with orange marmalade and honey, and Baklava ($8) with house-made lemon ice cream. My wife declared the yogurt to be as good as her favorite from Argyle. I was amazed with how flavorful and enjoyably chewy the baklava was and I appreciated the nice lemony ice cream instead of a drowning of honey like how it's served in many places. A large French press of good coffee ($8) was the final touch. Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. For our first outing since the pandemic struck, we felt very at ease. We're looking forward to another visit even if just for drinks and tapas.

The flavor profiles of each of the dishes at Amuse are superb. We ordered the hummus, feta and roasted peppers, the vegetarian autumn tagine, the beef tagine, and the Moroccan paella. We finished the meal with baklava and house made vanilla ice cream. Each dish was creatively constructed with the freshest ingredients. Each bite transported me to the Middle East. This is some of the best food in the capital district. The staff at Amuse deserve much success. Don’t sleep on this place!

This is a spectacular Mediterranean restaurant that is too easy to miss because it's on a walkway between two buildings on Broadway. Everything was outstanding, from the olives to the falafel, the cauliflower, the vegetarian tagine to the eggplant pizza. Creative, complex use of spices; very flavorful! Excellent French press coffee. Very good service, nice ambiance (art on the walls). What a great find! Very reasonably priced.

A hidden gem. Amazing food. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our meal very much. If you like aromatic food, beautifully prepared, this is the place. Small plates were large enough for us and yes, the hummus is the best we've ever had. Large pours of wine!
