I have been saying for years I don’t know how we have any bakeries in the area that make a good crusty bread….well now ive found it and healthier because its sourdough and coated with sesame seeds yum! The croissants are probably better than a croissant you would get in France!!!! They have chocolate ones and all kinds of different desserts! Go see them very soon!”

“We were there on June 4th Unbeknownst to us it was the start of Belmont week in Saratoga. The city was mobbed with people great to see. But not great on walk in dining. We were told it would be an hour wait because of all the reservations they had. This was not part of our plan of course. We then spotted an outdoor table in the shade. We grabbed it and the rest is history. We were greeted by Eli our server who by the way is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to craft beer. He managed to recommend beers for all three of us that were delicious. Outstanding job Eli. We shared a spicy little pizza and a charcuterie board and both were awesome. What a great experience from start to finish. great beer and food spells a good time and we will be back for more in the future”

“Completely forgot to post this on Friday, Lani and myself ordered some food to go from The Mex and we were more than satisfied! Joe created a KILLER wing sauce with all the charm of a classic Buffalo but with some texmex flair and the wings were crispy yet juicy, completely amazing like the rest of the food we got! “I had a great dinner experience with the new revamped menu. The food was flavorful, thoughtfully presented, and it’s clear there’s a lot of creativity and care going into the kitchen right now. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

A few dishes, while enjoyable overall, could benefit from some small refinements to make them even stronger. Some flavors felt slightly unbalanced at times, and a couple of components could have been executed with a bit more consistency. That said, the potential of the menu really shines through, and the overall experience was still very positive.

Some 'suggestion box' comments for the dishes:

Wagyu Dumplings
The dumplings were served sitting in a pool of ponzu sauce. Since they are fried, they only have about a minute before the sauce starts to make them soggy. Because we ordered multiple dishes, by the time we got to the dumplings, they had absorbed a lot of the ponzu and lost their crisp texture. The ponzu was also very strong. The citrus and soy flavor overpowered the rest of the dish, including the wagyu.

Beef Skewer
It seemed like the vegetables and beef may have been cooked at the same time. By the time the vegetables were fully cooked, the beef was already well done. Cooking the beef and vegetables separately, or adjusting the timing, might help keep the beef more tender.

Cucumber Salad
The cucumber salad had a similar issue to the wagyu dumplings. The cucumbers were sitting in a pool of dressing, which made the dish feel overly saturated. A lighter amount of dressing may help keep the cucumber crisp and prevent the dressing from overpowering the dish.

Strip Steak, 12 oz
The strip steak was beautifully cooked, but it was served with a large pile of chimichurri sitting directly on top of the steak. Because of that, the steak itself was almost hidden from view. Several guests also felt that having that much chimichurri directly on top overpowered the flavor of the steak. Serving the chimichurri around the steak, or on the side, may allow guests to add as much as they prefer while still keeping the presentation focused on the steak itself.”

“Made walk-in reservations at this pretty inviting Mexican place right in the middle of Broadway! Ava was our server - very welcoming and friendly and was patient enough to wait the extra few minutes to take our order.

We got a few shareable dishes, but their Green Goddess Salad ($15.95) was delicious and a pretty generous portion for two adults to share (even without protein)!

The table enjoyed some classic Mexican cocktails and we have a pleasant experience during our stay here. Service was quick, and food arrived within 15-mins of placing the order. Throughout our time, Ava and team were pretty attentive to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our delicious meal.

Definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting!”

“The finest listening space I know. Don't go to Lena's for the refreshments, although they are outstanding. Go for the music, which is more outstanding and important. I engineered 'Lena's Open Door', for a few years. Lena knew her stuff about the folk and acoustic music of the day. I am confident that she still would were she still alive today.”

“I don’t drink beer for the most part but I love Belgian beer. Usually I have to wait till I get to Belgium to enjoy the beer, but not anymore. The Belgian beer they have an offer is amazing! I never drink beer in the US, but couldn’t figure out which of the many choices I choose for lunch today. I had the trapped after tasting several that were one after the other, even better than the last. It was a hard choice that I tend to return to go through every other one of the beers on tap. I’m not an IPA person, but there were so many other choices! Food was spectacular and will definitely be back. Thanks so much for this great venue. They have bands and during the week specials and plenty of room to even rent out their space. Bravo!”

Birthdays, anniversaries, even before holiday gatherings are held at Pennell's. It has been a part of our family tradition for over 60 years, and I just know our children will continue it for years to come. Great meals and memories! Thank you Pennell's.”

“Food is great and service is great. The only issue I have is your gift card policy between Albany and Saratoga. I’ve had family be told you can use a gift card at either location and I have been told it must be used where it was purchased? My parents bought a gift card at the Albany location for my wife and I. The back of the card had Saratoga on it. Thankfully, we presented the gift card receipt after being told we could only use it in Saratoga when the receipt showed it was purchased in Albany. Thankfully, the server and the manager didn’t give up on the situation and were able to manually enter the card number in despite the magnetic strip on the card not working. Bravo to them! However, the only gift cards you are able to purchase in Albany say Saratoga on the back. So if you have a gift card, you better bring a gift card receipt or you may not be able to use it. I hope you guys look at the policy. My only negative. Other than that sushi is fresh and quick and great service !”

“By far the widest variety of soft serve flavors and most creative and delicious sundaes anywhere I’ve ever been. This place is the golden standard for soft serve ice cream. The dirt and worms sundae came with a little shovel as a spoon. The prices are well below expected and the detail they put into the sundaes is very impressive. 11/10. If the Dumpty family is reading this thank you for a delightful experience I will be back. I couldn’t see what they were doing behind the counter but I can only imagine its glory. Hot dogs were meh. Fresh seafood, friendly service and you know that you're getting quality when you purchase food from them. I always said, "you get what you pay for" and what you spend at Moby Ricks, you are getting top quality food. Very simple!”

We wanted our reception there and Michelle and Tina were so easy to work with and very accommodating, with many helpful suggestions. Then a couple of weeks ago the ceremony venue fell through - Michelle to the rescue! Her response is almost always “no problem, we can help you”. They left their beach bar tent up an extra week, cleaned it out, helped us set it up and even painted over a sign for us! It ended up being a beautiful space for the ceremony.
