We've been visiting Hattie's for >30 yrs and have adjusted to changes in their popularity and inflation requirements. Our server was pleasant ,but not very competent....I ordered the smaller portion of ribs(got 5-6 small ribs)was charged for the larger and told that's what I received(seriously?)...all she could do was say "sorry"!....there was a time when you would get biscuits /corn bread with your meal...now it's an extra charge for each....unacceptable!!!
Excellent food. Best fried chicken around and thoroughly enjoyed the pecan pie. Everyone loved their meals...We will be back to try everything.
Brought some first timers, they loved the chicken sandwich! Wished the lights weren't so bright for evening dining, it was bright and felt a bit like a cafeteria.
Host sat us early Servert Courtney on point. Fun place. Thanks and see you whem we get back to Saratoga
We have been coming to Hatties for decades and it is definitely not as good as it used to be. First of all, the woman who meet you at the front step, was not friendly at all. Second, now they want $12 for a basket of cornbread on your table when you start. They never used to do that. third, I asked for all dark meat when I got chicken and there was a two dollar extra charge for all dark meat. I it was not disclosed on the menu. And the waitress did not tell me about it. Finally, don't order the ribs. They're slathered with a sweet sauce that is completely unappetizing. I spent $100 there and it just really irritates me to be nickeled and dimed for two dollars. So we're probably not gonna ever go back.
Hatties has a really delicious menu! I love a restaurant with dishes that I do not make as well at home. However, I will aspire to their level at home. Hats off to the chef's at Hatties! The NOLA vibe is in full force with the music playing, the bartenders pour well-balanced drinks and I love the PBR draft there.
My family's new favorite restaurant! Absolutely loved everything about it. I haven't been there in many moons. The food is still amazing. My teenage son wants to attend Skidmore just to be close by. Hush puppies with honey butter - Delicious! Fried chicken - slap your grandma! Ribs were fantastic. The vibe was great. Cannot wait to go back.
We love Hattie's and had a mostly great experience, however sitting outside was problematic because we were swarmed by bees. We needed to sit outside because we had a dog with us, otherwise we would have certainly moved to inside. I hope you can find some environmentally and bee-friendly way to keep the bees away as it would certainly deter us from sitting outside.
Our server was great but seemed to be the only one. We asked for refills of our iced tea and waited about 30 minutes and asked again. We never did get more. $4.00 for gravy and $26 for chicken breast and a wing. That was an up charge for all white meat.
🌟 **Hattie's Restaurant - A Timeless Saratoga Gem!** 🌟 If you're anywhere near Saratoga Springs and *haven't* eaten at Hattie's, stop what you're doing and go immediately. This place is legendary for a reason. From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in a warm, vintage Southern charm that makes you feel like you've been invited into someone's home — someone who knows how to cook like a dream. The vibe is both nostalgic and buzzing with life, whether you're there for brunch, lunch, or a late-night fried chicken fix. Now let's talk food: **Hattie's fried chicken deserves its own holiday.** Crispy, golden, perfectly seasoned on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside — it's the kind of dish you'll think about weeks later. Pair it with their creamy mac & cheese or buttery mashed potatoes and gravy, and you're in comfort food heaven. The gumbo and jambalaya? *Equally unreal.* It's like New Orleans moved into upstate New York. The service is fantastic — welcoming, attentive, and fast without ever feeling rushed. The staff genuinely seems to love being part of the Hattie's legacy, and it shows. Bonus points for their cocktails and weekend brunch — both are top-tier. And if you're there in the summer? Grab a seat on the patio. It's pure magic. Hattie's isn't just a restaurant — it's a Saratoga tradition. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is one meal you won't forget. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 6 stars, I would.)

After a long mostly successful day at the track, Hattie's was the answer to the question, What's for dinner? Service was swift and professional and the food never disappoints. I look forward to my next visit!
The food here is very good. Best Collard Greens I have ever had. Ambiance is very good, we just had the misfortune of being inside near a table where the 4 people (probably intoxicated) were VERY loud...disrupting everyone. Our small, 2-person table was also near the waitress station so we had tons of traffic. Not desirable. Otherwise I highly recommend.
This was our unpteenth time at Hattie's. Tried the Nashville hot sandwich and it did not disappoint! Always love their chicken liver apps and collard green sides.
As always, the food was wonderful, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere cozy and charming. Thanks, Hattie's!
Hattie's is the best restaurant in Saratoga. Make sure to get a reservation because the secret is out. Every thing in the menu is more tasty than the next. Go back multiple times and try it all. You won't be disappointed.
