This a great place. However, the waitress kept pushing appetizers. We gave in and choose one and she kept pushing for a salad, the. Fried tomatoes. For her to stop talking about the appetizer we said we can’t eat tamatoes because we have acid reflux (which is true). After we paid the bill and gave her 20% she was extremely RUDE!! We were getting ready to leave and was yelling in a stern voice coz she wanted to get through. This is my first and last time. I am not going to describe her because I do not want to impact her livelihood But please be respectful. Also, If You are rude because of a Skin Color please do let us know we will take our business elsewhere.

there is no way I would bring my family and loved ones to the war zone around there in Albany. I loved Lombardos in the day. too scary now.
We’ve given this place a try twice. The chicken too crispy and the red beans and rice well not like any I’ve ever had in Louisiana. Dry and undercooked both times. Maybe try other options.

I’m rarely north of the twin bridges but whenever I am going forward, I will come here! Came with my family of 4 on a Sunday. The staff were super friendly. We ordered and got our food within 5 minutes. My kids had the chicken fingers and leg/wing meal with fries and were very happy. I had the double chicken sandwich Nashville hot with Cajun fries. I could not believe the size of it!!! Was spicy but not too hot. My husband had the same sandwich, Hattie’s style and really liked it as well. We also shared the collard greens and fried pickles. Everything we had was delicious. And we all had enough to take home for a 2nd meal! Highly recommend.

The chicken was delicious. The sides were pretty good as well. But, it is very expensive for just 4 pieces of chicken.

Nashville Hot Tenders were nice and Spicy! Hot with out all the usual breading. It’s no wonder why Hattie’s got voted number one in New York…because it truly is!
We’ve eaten there 3 times in 3 years and won’t be returning any time soon. The first visit was in the dead of winter with 3 other family members and everything was excellent. The last 2 visits were Ho-hum in food quality and comfort (cold inside).Luke warm chicken, waffles and potatoes, yuck. Very dull and limited food choices.
We were visiting Saratoga Springs and drove by Hattie's. We read the history of Hattie and decided to give it a try. We ordered the fried chicken, sweet potato fries and red beans and rice. The chicken was decent, the sweet potato fries were good but the red beans and rice is a big no from both my husband and I.....they need to take that off the menu. I gave four stars because the employees were nice. I really wanted an order of fried green tomatoes and they were all out but the cook said they had a few left and gave them to us for free. They were delicious. Best part of the meal!
The chicken was very dry and extremely salty. Also so were Fried Pickles and sauce. It felt as if the enamel on my teeth was being eaten away. This is not the same recipe from Hattiesburg of old.
