Hattie's Chicken Shack

The chicken was good but it was $10 for two tiny pieces and a cup of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. They also apparently no longer offer sides of any kind.

Hatties what have you done.......? Been coming here since your inception, and the chicken sandwiches would come out hot and juicy. Last few years not so much and you raised prices to $20. Not so mad about the price, but please get the quality back to what it was. Love you guys but do better at the track.

This isn't Hattie's. They used to serve their signature fried chicken, but not this year. Standard off the truck overpriced chicken fingers that you can get anywhere. Sad. Disappointing.

So disappointed that the only offerings here were chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich.. We traveled here on a bus trip and were so excited that hattie's had a restaurant here. We decided to try the tenders and found the quality to be worse than chik fil a. Such a major let down. More embarrassingly was the way we talked up the place before realizing that the menu had changed. The quality of the food was really not what we expected from hattie's. Would advise skipping this place. To compound matters we were told we could not sit at one of the nearby tables. Had to find a picnic table instead and bothered by bees.just a bad experience all around.

It pains me to offer such a poor rating to one of my favorite stops in Saratoga. I have enjoyed the delicious fried chicken at the track over 35 years of annual visits. I was shocked to see chicken tenders offered in 2025 instead of fried chicken, the clear distinguishing menu item for Hattie’s. I can get chicken tenders anywhere, including at another concession stand 100 yards away. I hope to be a customer again in the future but not until the fried chicken comes back. Respectfully submitted and hoping to see fried chicken return in 2026.

My favorite take out at Saratoga Race Course switched from a fantastic offering to chicken tenders which were less than great.

Sad to miss their great fried chicken.

i got the 2 piece chicken dinner and it waa EXTREAMLY disappointing, a tiny wing and a piece of back! not much chicken for the price! The bar was very nice.

$21 for sandwich and a side…

This a great place. However, the waitress kept pushing appetizers. We gave in and choose one and she kept pushing for a salad, the. Fried tomatoes. For her to stop talking about the appetizer we said we can’t eat tamatoes because we have acid reflux (which is true). After we paid the bill and gave her 20% she was extremely RUDE!! We were getting ready to leave and was yelling in a stern voice coz she wanted to get through. This is my first and last time. I am not going to describe her because I do not want to impact her livelihood But please be respectful. Also, If You are rude because of a Skin Color please do let us know we will take our business elsewhere.

there is no way I would bring my family and loved ones to the war zone around there in Albany. I loved Lombardos in the day. too scary now.

We’ve given this place a try twice. The chicken too crispy and the red beans and rice well not like any I’ve ever had in Louisiana. Dry and undercooked both times. Maybe try other options.

Hatties is absolutely amazing ! The food is so good and the service is awesome ! Our server Terri was so kind and made great recommendations! We will definitely be back here asap!

The Chicken is great,I'm a hard working guy and the Chicken has got very expensive there for me to buy.
