4 diners - 3 orders of Surf & Turf - 1 order of pan crusted salmon, salad starter and tuna nachos, followed by pecan pie and a carrot cake. All the food was excellent. Waitress and wait staff all did a terrific job. Highly recommend!

Mary our waitress was amazing. Friendly, attentive. The food was outstanding. We had the fried calamari to start and it was tender, prepared with hot peppers and lemon aioli sauce. Mmmm good!!! The interval between courses was just right. No rushing, time for conversation and digestion. The portions were also perfect so you could have an appetizer and not get filled up before the entree'. The mixed drink menu had many to choose from and an extensive wine list. Keeping our expectations low because it was Christmas Eve , we were blown away with the staff, the food, and the ambiance . It was by far the best meal and overall dining experience we have had in a long time. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday meal!!!

Food and service were excellent. However, one of our party of 4 was a less than adventurous 11 year-old. We were able to order a side of pasta and a grilled chicken breast. Did not expect it to be $32, especially based on the small portions for both, and the pasta being priced higher than the chicken on the bill. With two appetizers, three other entrees, drinks, dessert and coffee, it was not a small tab. Gouging on a child's meal just didn't need to happen, even on Christmas Eve.

The fried calamari was extremely tiny bits of calamari that were over cooked. My friend had a holiday cocktail that she did not like or drink. Over priced for the quality of the food.

The food never disappoints. However, there's been a significant change in the service and it is not the restaurant that I had gone to in the past. It seemed that by 9 PM on a Saturday night they wanted to get rid of us and handed us the check as the staff were putting the chairs on the tables. We were the only people left dining. There was a couple who walked in to try to get food at 8:45pm and staff told them they were closing. I gather their business has slowed down and it felt like we were forced to pay the check and never asked us if we wanted coffee or dessert (as the chairs and tables were moving and lights were dimming). It was a disappointment because my friend was visiting and I boasted about this place. Hopefully there will be more momentum in the future because this restaurant used to be a gem! I miss the great vibes and energy from this restaurant.

We had a reservation and entered at 6:25. After being seated we were asked about water at 6:50. Then we sat in disbelief as we waited for our server around 7:05. She took our drink orders and 2 apps. (Half hour after seated to get the drink and apps in) Again, sipped our water and waited for another 20 minutes until our apps arrived. Mind you still waiting on our 2 drinks adding to 32$. Not one to pick the team apart. There was no teamwork or sense of organization. Our server was over booked and it seemed under staffed for expediting food and beverage. No manager walking around to other beverage-less tables either. Long story short, we will take our date night else where (cough cough... 15church )

You should have planned better with staffing Even though you had 44 reservations it was restaurant week and people come out for the special Staff were overwhelmed I understand but our water never got refilled. The waitress kept forgetting our food or our order and then another waitress brought over the wrong drink. I was very disappointed

I have been to 30 Lake several times including bellying up to the bar for the happy hour specials. The atmosphere is always quiet and the service is just right. The menu has something for everyone and always taste great. Would recommend everyone try it, if you haven't already.

Inexperienced staff. When we arrived there were 7 tables open and they sat us right by the front door. I asked the hostess if she could move us as it was a little cold and they said all there tables were taken with reservations in the next 30 minutes. 5 of the tables were never used in the 2 hrs we were there. After waiting 90 minutes I had to ask where our dinner was and our waitress said she was sorry but she forgot. She returned with it minutes later and all the dishes were cold. For a $300 meal not what I expected in terms of service at all.

The restaurant was beautiful. Very quaint and quiet. The service was top notch and the food was absolute perfection!! I definitely will venture 30 Lake again when I'm in the area!

We had 5:30 reservations (one of the few same day reservations available so perhaps we should have digested that fact before going??) and arrived early and went to the bar. The bartender was VERY attentive and VERY good--super personality--KUDOS to her!! We enjoyed a drink and ordered oysters that came in a timely fashion. It was time to go to our table and Brooke seated us.....she was attentive but more diners arrived and she was very busy. My utensils were taken with my salad that I ordered and I had to literally take a napkin with utensils from the table beside me to have utensils to eat my meal with when it finally came.....appetizer came in a timely fashion but couldn't help but notice people in the "kitchen" resting with arms stretched on the shelf where food is placed for pick-up and delivery to customers while my husband and I waited for our entrees. Two people arrived while we were there--assuming perhaps an owner or manager--she replaced the napkin and utensils on the table next to me, but never "wondered" as to why they weren't there?? Several other diners filled a couple more tables, but attendance was very scant for such a large establishment. Our son and d-i-l (recently married) have 30 Lake on their list of places they want to go and we will tell them to take it off the list--not worth the money for the quality of food received. My scallops, albeit the presentation was beautiful, had some type of seasoning on them that was so salty that I actually could NOT eat them and I am a SALTAHOLIC--I put salt on EVERYTHING! I am only able to type so many characters in this review so I will stop for now, but will say that we do NOT recommend 30 Lake--we wish them well, but they need a lot of improvement!!!

We dined during Skidmore parents/Alumni weekend so we knew to make reservations. Service and food was very good. We were seated by kitchen which I didn't like but it was a packed restaurant and can't be helped. I wish I had known more about parking options but otherwise had a great meal.

Basically, this is a bar with a bunch of tables. They have lots of tables for 2 and a bunch of tables for 4. When we arrived, there was one other couple at a table, 2 people sitting at the bar, and everything else was totally empty. We asked for a larger table and we were told that they have reservations for every table all night long. We sdat at one of the smaller tables and after our dinner was complete (about 2 hours), there were two couples at the small tables, none at the larger tables, and a few people at the high tops next to the bar. The food was good but not great. The service was good as well. For us, this is a one and done! We will not be going back.
