Review:
We stopped by this place on our way back from our fall trip after seeing some good reviews.

The first thing that stood out was the cost — everything was super expensive (imported Indian beer, chicken fry, etc.). Portions were very small, and we had to order the same dish multiple times. If I remember correctly, about $30 for four small pieces of mutton curry 😐. (Uploading the picture for reference.)

The environment was okay, nothing fancy, and no parking available.

On the positive side, the chicken dishes were delicious — especially the Chettinaad and Mango Curry — and that’s what earned this place two stars from me.

Not sure if the pricing is just because of the location — maybe only for those who don’t mind 5-star rates for 3-star ambience.

I travel a lot and explore many Indian restaurants around the country, but this one stood out — something just didn’t add up. Hope this helps other travelers 👍

Fabulous flavors! Succulent food with excellent service.

Not your run-of-the-mill Indian dishes. Sophisticated spice complexity. These folks are artists who take pride in their creative cuisine. Absolutely delicious!

My favorite restaurant in Saratoga Springs. Karavalli is a place where I know that I can always count on consistently good food and friendly service. I hope this place never changes!

I’ve eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants. Some are as good as Karavelli but none better

I have been meaning to try this restaurant after eating at Spice Malabar in Clifton Park. Both these restaurants showcase specialties from different regions of India. The food was great! Started with the chicken samosa. The side sauce had a great taste that complimented the flavors of the samosa. The garlic rasam soup had the right amount of heat I was looking for. Nice and spicy! I finished off with the shrimp phaal. Great flavor and nice heat. Overall great spot with friendly service! Will definitely be back and will option at times for takeout if ever crowded.

Exceptional & authentic South Indian Curries, dosa & much more. We really enjoyed all the flavor pallets and dishes. The owner & staff is really professional & takes good care of customer’s preferences. Really glad we stopped by the restaurant during our Saratoga Springs visit.

Love this place better than Little India in my opinion. I had little India once but as soon as I tried this place my whole perspective on Indian food changed. Highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing South Indian food and variety of curries also a list of chef special curries we’re amazing. The staff were very helpful and nice and the owner was very friendly and hospitable.

Seems like Saratoga Springs secret place of great Indian food.
We ordered the
Samosa chaat - perfect spice levels with a very well done core samosa
Mysore Masala Dosa - which was perfectly crispy and super yummy coconut chutney
Tamarind Eggplant - very fine slice of the eggplant with the perfectly marinated sauces (best I had tasted of this dish)
And
Panner butter masala - high on tangy side but perfectly made paneer cubes

Scammers. They don’t tell you the la de da Saratoga water on the table is 7.95 till you get the bill. Tasted like tap water to me.

Good food and fast service, so too bad about the deceptive practices.
