Excellent food, very nice spot to eat or just have a drink. The hotel is beautiful, looks like you stepped in history. There's easy street parking outside. The place is also accessible.

Very Poor hospitality- cancelled our NYE reservations the DAY OF that we had made a MONTH ago. Very disappointed- it doesn’t leave us time to get reservations somewhere else, and why would you wait that long to let us know? You should be banned from using the word hospitality.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Manager called me rude names!! All because I argued with them because the food was COLD! I was waiting for 1 and a half hours for my steak and not only was it cold it was hard as a rock….DONT RECOMMEND WOULD NEVER BE BACK HERE AGAIN.

Do not go. Arrived at 11:00 am today. Miserable rainy day. Asked staff stationed outside if breakfast was still being served; told yes. Stepped inside. Asked hostess if breakfast was still being served - told yes. She asked us if we wanted to be seated inside or out - rain was pouring down. Went inside - one other table with guests having breakfast. Seated by the sushi bar with strong raw fish odor - rest of place empty. Given breakfast menus, ordered coffee, long wait for coffee then told breakfast was no longer being served. Asked if we could just get some eggs. Asked how many eggs. Long wait and then told no more breakfast. Not even an offer of a bagel and some berries. Told the chefs decide the clock had changed to lunch and that was that - no discussion no compromise no suggestions in an empty restaurant except for a table that had already been served. Asked for check. Long wait so put cash down and started to walk out. Hostess ran to us angrily to pay check. Left more money and walked out. Ridiculous.

Second time visiting and eating on the outdoor patio. Was Ok, but good, not great. The burgers (smashed) were pretty good, but crab cake was so-so. The French fries were super yummy! We ate inside the last time and I feel that atmosphere was better. Would try the lobster corn dogs next time! and perhaps sushi.

We ordered oysters that never arrived. Very disappointed in the heirloom and peaches burrata salad. Tomatoes and peaches felt frozen/very hard (and it's prime tomato season!). Squash blossoms were nice but not enough to save the meal. Jonah crab cocktail tasteless and watery. With so many choices close by, we won't be back to Morrissey's.

Morrissey is a classic lounge and bar. The bartenders are great and everyone is professional. Whether you come for drinks or lunch you will enjoy it!

First off, the menu online is different than the menu in person. I was set on ordering the scallops via online, but the scallops via in person came with different things so I opted to get the salmon instead which was a little disappointing.
The salmon wasn’t bad but the pea risotto didn’t really resemble risotto. It was more of a watery rice and lacked flavor.
We started with the stuffed blue crab zucchini flowers which sounded amazing, but were very bland and only came with 3.
The service was great but it was extremely loud. We got lucky and were seated in the back room which didn’t start to fill up until we were finishing up. It got so loud we couldn’t hold our own conversation.

2024: Bad incompetent and rude waiter ....bad food... bad service... it had to happen and eventually it did ... for these prices I would never come back again. Prior 2021 review: Have had breakfast once, dinner once and dessert once. Well prepared food, super pricey but great service and atmosphere.
