Super fast and friendly service. I work in Saratoga during the summer, and this is one place I must eat at at least a few times during the summer. The food is always hto, fresh and taefy in no time. I always get an awesome dog, potato salad and a fresh lemonade. ?

Saratoga Awesome Dogs has been written up recently in the Schenectady and Albany papers by authors who love the food. We love the food. The Awesome hotdogs are.... well, awesome. And the hamburgers are the best around. We had macaroni salad and potato salad, both delicious. We could not resist some cranberry bread too. All very reasonably priced.Kid-friendliness: Kids love hotdogs... there is a field right next to the seating area where they can burn some calories. This is also next to a walking trail.

It's been 12 years since I wrote my original review and very little has changed at Saratoga Awesome Dogs. Same smoker, same Kathy manning it after a scary incident in which an impaired motorist took out the cart and nearly took out the proprietor a couple of years back. So when you eat here you are celebrating tradition and resilience with the food as a bonus.The signature Awesome Dog is currently $3.50, a fair price considering it comes with the opportunity to sit down at the picnic table with your neighbors and the occasional celebrity. The menu has expanded a bit and you can now get burgers and sides and desserts and an occasional special like pulled pork or goulash.The parking lot where Kathy's cart resides also serves Quality Hardware, a full service store for your tinkering needs; EBI beverages, with an impressive selection of IPAs; and Spring Run trail. You could hardly do better on a warm spring day than to build up an appetite with a walk on the trail, pick up supplies for a home repair project, grab a cold four pack to take home, then reward yourself with a half hour at Kathy's picnic table.
Damn good burger! I drive by the quality hardware several times a week, and I have never stopped at this little stand in the parking lot. Once I finally stopped, and sampled the food, those girls were making on the grill, I will come back over and over and over again. unfortunately, because it's an outside stand, they close during the winter. But, when they reopen in spring, I will be one of the first customers. I had such an excellent hamburger. It was juicy, hot, and cooked perfectly. I like my burger medium if you're looking for a fast option that is it fast food, this is the place to come!
