That's not a cinnamon roll, that's a cinnamon pizza.
First time in this bakery, having found it online while looking for new places to check out. Normally wouldn't be able to check them out as they close at 3PM, but lots of end-of-the-year PTO leads to exploring my options.
Ended up going with 9 different choices, a PB cookie, Molasses cookie, Sprinkle cookie, Snickerdoodle cookie, Sugar cookie, Lemon Bar, Vanilla Cupcake, Gingerbread Man cookie, and a Cinnamon Bun. All in all, only a little under $38, not too shabby.
Straight away, the PB Cookie, was mind blowing. It was very richly peanut butter, but not aggressively mud mouth making. And the addition of PB Chips inside was something I wish more places did. The molasses was exactly as it should be, not super sweet and it had that distinct dark flavor. The sprinkle I expected to be a lot doughier, but it surprised me with how crispy it was and how well the sprinkles held up to the baking. The snickerdoodle I wished it had more cinnamon flavor, as it stands now it was only a little spicy and I much prefer snickerdoodles to bite back. The sugar cookie, aside from the fun design, also had a lovely shortbread flavor. The cupcake was very plain, it had a sweet smack to it but I think it could use a twist, maybe some vanilla bean to add more vanilla aroma. The gingerbread man was not as crunchy as I was expecting, nor did it have a super punchy ginger flavor, a bit like the snickerdoodle's cinnamon. And finally that cinnamon bun, just , wow! The frosting was rich and had a proper cream cheese flavor and consistency to it. The bread was well constructed, holding together very well, but not super dense or heavy. They did go light on the cinnamon tar, but that's ok, because they had enough cinnamon proper that it danced well with the massive frosting topping included. Loved this, far better than anything Cinnabon puts out anymore.
A shame they close as early as they do, as I could totally see myself rocking this place as a standard weekly visit.

The lemon danish and blueberry muffin were so divine, we didn't even care that they weren't cheap, because, wow, they were amazing.

This bakery is exceptional. The atmosphere is so welcoming, staff are friendly and have great communication, and the baked goods are delicious. I used this bakery for my wedding and the cake was so beautiful and even better than I could've hoped for. Would absolutely recommend

I ate here for the first time yesterday. Had the "Jim Dandy" breakfast sandwich and their loaded hash browns. Both were delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Worth a stop by for a breakfast if you're in the area.

I love the large vanilla cupcakes and they’re an excellent combination with the Stewart’s vanilla ice cream!

Love this place! Staff is super friendly (front end and kitchen) and it's always clean. Food is excellent - everything is fresh and delicious. The Thoroughbred Panini is now my favorite sandwich anywhere! Happy that I can bring my dog, sit outside AND that the profits are donated - kudos to the Mitzens! (How do we get one in Albany? ( :
Parking: Lots of parking with signs so that non-patrons don't park there (as parking is usually at a premium in the area)
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance and easy to maneuver inside

At Bread Basket Bakery, the croissant is a masterpiece. It's golden-brown, with a delicate, crispy exterior that gives way to a tender, buttery, and perfectly flaky interior. Each bite melts in your mouth, releasing a symphony of rich, buttery flavors with a hint of sweetness. The layers are so light and airy that they almost seem to dissolve on your tongue, making it the ultimate indulgence. Whether enjoyed plain, with a smear of fresh butter, or paired with a sweet jam, this croissant is a heavenly delight that transports you straight to a Parisian café.
Stopped by on a weekday morning for a quick bite. The bagels were made fresh and were perfectly tasty, fluffy, and chewy. I’m from NYC so I’m a tough bagel critic but these blew me away! They ran out of everything bagels so we got a plain bagel with cream cheese. I’d recommend stopping here for a breakfast or lunch. They had a lot of nice options on the menu and I’ll definitely be back for another bagel!

Adorable bakery that gives back to the neighborhood. Food was served quickly and piping hot. Nothing like a great soup and sandwich. I've been here several times. Pastry is wonderful. Outdoor seating and the building is so welcoming - looks like a fairytale house. Love it there.

I hate to write this but our beloved Bread Basket is not what it used to be. The cakes still kick butt!! But the pastries are not the same. When they removed the maple twist it was a disappointment but we wanted to give it a chance still after it changed ownership. But this is the last time. The pastries are dry and lack the filling and quality they used to have. The pastries are like giant buns with a lot of breading and little else. The sticky bun was far from sticky and dry. The cinnamon bun had barely any cinnamon swirl. I thought it may be a fluke the first couple times but I guess this is the new norm for them.
Great pecan pie. Some other good baked deserts as well.
