Nice location with parking. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and nice wine selection. I would highly recommend the Thirsty Owl Outlet and Wine Garden.

We had a wonderful bite to eat sitting at bar this afternoon. The gluten free corn and crab chowder is out of this world! All served to us by the best bartender, TJ!

I was at Thirsty Owl this Friday night with my party of five. I had a reservation so was seated promptly. The general ambiance and live music was pleasant as I was there celebrating my son's 25th birthday. We enjoy their locally grown wines and were looking forward to a nice evening. In the past I've really liked the small plates and charcuterie offerings in the wine tasting area as well as it being my go to spot, purchasing their Vidal Blanc and other white wines. Our server's Ashley and Corinne took care of us as we ordered our wines and appetizer. As we waited on our appetizer we enjoyed our bottle of Malbec which was really good in addition to the Vidal Blanc which we are fond of, with warm bread and olive oil. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow and we were quite hungry. We were there over two and a half hours that night. We sampled the restaurant week offering patiently waited on our soup course after the fried cheese ordered. The creamy French Onion and award winning crab and corn chowder did not disappoint. However the wait time between soup and entree was extremely long. So much so that we were given a complimentary bottle of Malbec as that is what we ordered initially which was very nice. Sadly when our entrees finally came to us they were all cold and it was not even what would be considered warm. We sampled the filet mignon, crab stuffed cod as well as the eggplant trio with vodka pasta. Although our table all thought the food was tasty, the temperature that it was served at could not be ignored. We ended up having it packed so we could move onto dessert. Again as it was already over two hours, we were all rather tired. The bread pudding was outstanding in taste and served with ice cream. The chocolate torte was good but definitely over the top sweet but decadent. Overall the Thirsty Owl is a nice place for a wine tasting experience but for dining it is extremely slow.

Such a sad experience. This restaurant was chosen because 2 of our party are gluten free and they have many options. Unfortunately, after waiting well over an hour and seeing the same entrees we ordered go to several tables that were seated and ordered after us, our waiter told us he didn’t know why our order kept getting pushed back, but now they had run out of the sides that went with our halibut. The manager then told us it was because one of our party special ordered the seafood mac & cheese gluten free (even though their menu notes this is available). When we pushed on this, the manager said that if we didn’t like it and didn’t what substitute sides, we could leave, and that is exactly what we did. This was a birthday celebration for my wife that was ruined by this poor restaurant. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I will say though, that the young waiter, who shared he only had a month of experience, was friendly and tried hard.Dietary restrictions: Don’t believe that everything they state can be made GF is true.

Sadly my friends and i had a terrible experience at this place. Food is way too over priced. The waitress we had was very condescending and rude to us when asking about the menu items. We tried speaking with the manager at the end of the night and he became defensive and tried to make an excuse for the waitress. Never again! I couldn't help but to think we were treated unfairly because we are people of color.

I don't consider myself a wine expert (or snob), but I do know enough about it to have a good idea of what I will or won't like. I was initially uncomfortable ordering wine here without seeing from where the wine originated, so I had to trust them with their write-ups regarding the wines, and their noses and palates. Thankfully, for all of the wines we ordered with our meals, the write-ups were quite accurate, meriting a future seating at their wine bar area. Okay, so a lot of words for "I liked their wine." On to the food. My first suggestion is that regardless of how good the olive oil is for dipping your warm, crusty, bread, you'll be several times happier if you happen to order either the mussels or the bourbon scallops, and dip all the bread in the sauce. The 12oz. sirloin that one person in my party ordered was cooked to perfection, it looked slightly more generous than 12oz. My hazelnut crusted halibut was covered in toasted hazelnuts, though I was expecting them to be more finely ground, not necessary having whole hazelnuts in the mix. But hey, you give me toasted hazelnuts on halibut, well prepared, and I'm not going to complain. None of us ordered desserts, though we saw several nicely presented ones brought to other tables. If I were having something after dinner, I would more likely order a dessert or ice wine, both of which were available. Service was enjoyable, with 2 waitresses working in tandem, our orders coming out quickly, water glasses refilled frequently, etc.. Parking may be a challenge during busier times. There is a small lot behind the restaurant with access from Lincoln Avenue. But when that is full, you'll probably have to park on a side street (such as Whitney) and walk a small distance.

First of all, this place is freaking overpriced. Second one, the server shows her attitude (Tall with a ponytail). Third, it was some "resturant week menu" when it were three coursesfor 35$ so the server said we can't pick from desserts and it will be dessert plate "because they have so much customers, so they have only leftovers" LEFTOVERS!My wife ordered well-done salmon, and when the server brought it, it was not well done it was even not cooked. This is absolutely ridiculous, the menu is super small, portions are small, and the food is ok.Highly NOT recommended!

This was our second stop last night, so just wine and dessert to cap off our celebration.I can't believe I have never been here before, but to be honest, my husband and I are not wine drinkers.2 of us ordered a few glasses of wine and were very pleased (2 types of Riesling and an Ice Wine). The waitress was very helpful with steering them to ones they might like.Dessert was split among the 5 of us: 1 bread pudding, 1 slice of peanut butter pie, 1 slice of Flourless Chocolate Cake, and 1 Creme Brulee. This is seriously now my favorite place for dessert. There were more items we didn't try, plus dinner entrees that sound amazing!Wonderful service and a warm, inviting space to spend time hanging out and enjoying drinks and food. Cannot recommend this place more.

We only had time for a quick meal & they were very accommodating. The scallops in garlic cream sauce was excellent. I would also recommend the Vidal Blanc which we purchased 3 bottles of!

A group of 5 women came for wine tasting and dinner. An excellent experience! Kristi, who did our tastings, was terrific: knowledgeable and personable. The wine was excellent, affordably priced with a nice variety. Dinner was very good. Two of us shared 2 small plates: outstanding scallops with garlic cream sauce, and shrimp lettuce wraps which would've been better if they'd used fresh pineapple instead of canned (the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5). The Crab-Corn Chowder was outstanding! The Bang-Bang Shrimp was also very well done. One of our party had to send her filet back because the smothered mushrooms and onions were cold, but they took care of it and then it was delicious. Desserts (creme Brûlée & cheesecake) were excellent. Our server, Corrin, was an excellent server.

Good simple food and vibes. We sat outside porch and it was delightful. Wine pairing was great. Service is friendly.
