Great selection of pickles. The three of us each got to select what we liked best... what more can you ask for. Easy to walk to if you are visiting the book shops just up the road. Some paid parking spots along the road, but also free parking just off the main road. There is a generously large parking lot behind the shops closer to the main intersection - just a few minutes walk from this place.

We checked out Brine Barrel today and had a great experience. We had a rather complicated and large order but the owner was really attentive and friendly. The subs were very fresh tasting but the highlight was certainly the pickles. We tried both the dill and sour pickles - personally I was a dill pickle fan but both were so good. I recommend giving them a try!
P.S. unfortunately no pictures since we gobnled the food quickly

They had no pickles when I went but the sandwich made up for it.

What a charming place, with delicious food, that felt like it was from the past! I got subs, and three containers of fresh pickles. Great homemade pickles (I got the dill, the sour, and the sweet horseradish). Extremely fresh sub sandwiches on delicious non-squishy bread. Felt like a blast from the past, in a good way!

Brine Barrel special $15.
He made sure to tell me this sandwich is 2 sandwiches in 1. Got half way thru when I realized he forgot my onion, hot peppers, and vinegar. He also forgot my pickle which I asked for on the way out the door and is included with every sandwich. The place is empty and non inspiring. You really need to be on your game for a $15 sandwich in an empty store with no customers. With all that being said this sandwich was excellent but you pay for it. If this is a double I’m scared to see a single ✌️
***found 2 banana pepper rings in the last bite

Me and my friend were so pleasantly surprised by this sandwich shop in Saugerties! The photos don’t do the sandwich justice. Everything is so fresh, cut and assembled right in front of us by the owner We wish that we got a few more to go for the rest of our drive!

such a cute little shop! very friendly man working i presume was the owner. slices the meats and makes the sandwich right there, kinda cool to see lol. good prices, delicious pickles. i got “the godfather” sub and i HORKED IT DOWN. i am normally a slow eater but it was so good! excellent ratio of meat & other ingredients to the amount of bread. only in town for a bit but plan on returning before i leave! YUM!
