Federico's closed down in July, rumored to be opening under new ownership. (Anyone posting 1-star reviews below from the last week or two is not legit.) Sadly, Covid got a hold of another quality small business... Federico's was far and away the BEST PIZZA in the entire Saugerties/Kingston/Woodstock area. Renovation/re-opening signs put up recently... let's hope they hire back the original pizza chefs and the standard remains high!

Fantastic environment and very affable service. The menu was crisp and delicious. Will absolutely recommend this spot to friends. Affordable rates and large meals. Great job.

Such a beautiful, cozy place and you can tell the people that work there really care about whar they do

One of the workers, behind the counter, was clearly intoxicated and was cursing on the phone while I ate a very good pizza.

Everything about this place is terrible..nasty place..filthy. I saw the cook, wipe his runny nose with his hand as he was cutting the pizza. They handle money with hands that touched the food. Dirt everywhere...disgusting place and their pizza is awful.

Hard place to review because the pizza and subs are good, but the owners are drunks that constantly fight and they don't care if there are customers in the place when they fight. Another problem is if they had too much to drink they won't open at all. If the owners were better people I'd give the place 5 stars.

As soon as you walk into this place go with your gut and walk out. I wish I had! Before ordering the pizza my and I gave the friendly greeting " hey good evening. How are you?" His response was " terrible!!! I'm working with this damn idiot in the back!" Okkkkk The pies they have on display looked they had been there a while but I was starving. So I ordered a chicken bacon ranch slice and my wife ordered a white slice with broccoli with an order of wings. First bite really upset me being that I was starving because it wasn't even warm and it wasn't very tasty. The wings took about 40 minutes and there were only 2 other customers in the place. While waiting for the wings the two guys behind the counter( owner and worker) start to argue in front of everyone there. The worker telling the owner basically how to run the shop because the owner was sleeping in the back. DO NOT come to this place. I gave this place 1 star because I had to at least give it 1

Family owned businesses so they're constantly fighting whenever I go in. One day one of the owners seemed higher than a kite. Took him 15 mins to make me change from a 20. Wish I spoke Italian because the brother started screaming at him in it. Would have loved to know what he was saying. Pizza was also burned.

Soggy pizza, surly counter help, salad was limp and old. It's criminal that these people are allowed to sell pizza.

My grandma did not make pizza but this grandma's pie is awfully delicious. My group showed up at this same old same old pizza joint. We were the only customers. You could feel the grease on the floor and the table. Clearly this is a local favorite. It may be the only decent pizza spot for miles. They claim to offer wood fired pizza but the oven was not operational. If you have one you should use it! Truth be told we already had our target set on the Grandma's pie. It is a riff on a NYC classic. Tomato on top, cheese on the bottom. The slices were dense but the crust was buttery and crispy. Loved the tomatoes! They packed an awesome punch. There was also fresh basil and garlic. LOTS of garlic. If you are a garlic wimp (I love it) this pizza is not for you. In summary..... a typical neighborhood pizza take out joint that has a signature pizza that is really tasty. I would order it again, if for some bizzare reason I was in the area.

Not holding up. Messed order up multiple times. Ask for half this and half that on pizza mostly get both toppings on half the pizza even tho you ask for a recap of your order. Need more personable people to take orders besides a kid that sounds 15 and either stoned or so bored out of his mind

Four stars for the (made to order) Grandma pie. If there's one thing that makes me sad, it's when a pizzeria goes to the expense and trouble of installing a wood oven, and then they don't use it. Wood ovens are only for those who take their pizza program very seriously (you'd be surprised how many pizza places don't take their pizza seriously.) When I was there, the wood oven was cold, sitting there like a statue commemorating better days. And that Federico's is not taking advantage of one of the best tools any pizza maker can have--a wood oven--has me wondering if they take their pizza seriously enough. But, there's good news, the Sicilian style Grandma pie is good, with the caveat that you get one made to order. I cannot vouch for a reheated Grandma slice; it may not be as good. Our pie came out of the oven blazing hot, and I nearly burned my face off eating the first few bites (that's a good thing). The crust was chewy, with a crisp bottom, and thin, crunchy end crust. I liked the toppings. The tomatoes were bright and fresh-tasting. The way they were chopped made for a pleasing juicy texture. There was lots of fresh chopped basil and LOTS of fresh garlic. The fresh garlic was too much really, but I love garlic and didn't think it hurt the pie all that much, though less would have been better. The toppings (except the cheese) are placed on just the center two-thirds of the pie. Your palate gets a break from the sweet tomatoes and basil as you work your way toward the crunchy, cheesy end crust, and it makes for a more interesting eating experience. With a light, bright, tomato topping, fresh basil, and fresh garlic, the Grandma pie at Federico's is a winner, and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again.

This is a pizza place in a strip mall, and by the looks of the town as we were driving through perhaps the only game in town (but I am willing to bet a Dominoes is here somewhere). We came on a pizza tour and our host had a preset game plan to order the "Grandma" style pizza. I am glad he did his research, as the slices in the window looked very average to me and not worth the drive. The place touts its woodfired oven but it wasn't on when we were there. I am not surprised, as we were the only customers upon arrival in the early afternoon and when we left only two other tables had people. The "Grandma" pizza, which incidentally is a style nothing like my grandmother's, is a baked with a thin crust is a square pan with lots of cheese, tomatoes, garlic, and basil. True to form, it came out crispy and fried on the edges, loaded with cheese over everything, and unevenly topped with tomatoes and basil. As a result, some bites were more balanced and some were just heavy on the cheese and garlic. Speaking of the garlic. There is no reason any pizza served outside of Transylvania should ever have this much garlic. Combined with the very wet toppings (either excess water from the tomatoes or grease from the frying crust and cheese) it created a very heavy, slick feeling my mouth that didn't sit well. Others raved about it so I guess it is a personal preference, but I didn't enjoy it as much. I would only return here if I knew the wood fired oven were operating. (Or, if I lived here and the only other option were Dominoes, I would probably put this place on speed dial). The "Grandma" is an interesting pizza offering that isn't for everyone.
