Really good food, the octopus was probably the best I've had. I had the braised beef my wife the salmon. So very good. Service was great and a very attractive and rustic restaurant. We did get a voucher for 2 glasses of wine for staying at Diamond Mills making it a very affordable high class dinner. The exec chef delivered our appetizer and spent a few minutes speaking about the establishment.

The food here is not good. It doesn't feel like much effort goes into making it tasty or delicious. Ambiance is amazing and service is great. Unfortunately the food does not do the restaurant location and setting justice.

Lovely view from our spacious room. Beautiful bathroom too. Staff was friendly and solicitous. Continental breakfast was ample and tasty. I thought there was a spa, but it hasn't opened yet. The restaurant wasn't open, so we didn't get to try it. It was a good place to celebrate our 40th anniversary

Great food and cocktails, beautiful views from the patio. Staff was friendly, but service was a little slow.

Posh boutique hotel with gorgeous views overlooking the falls. Service is extra ordinary. We arrived at 12 am with many children and were welcomed warmly despite the late hour. Marcello was extremely accommodating and switched the rooms for us so we can be next door to the children. Rooms were super clean and luxurious. Bedding was fluffy and soft. Marcello brought us extra blankets with a smile. The staff was attentive and patient with the kids. We woke up to the glorious sun and calming rushing of the falls. Nearby boating on the Hudson was beautiful and we even got a glimpse of the beautiful horses at the HIITS events nearby. Jack the manager was friendly and very invested in giving us a five-star experience. Terry was very helpful with reservations and personally went to get hot water for my coffee even though breakfast was over. She also accommodated us with late checkout as my toddler was ill. Highly recommend this hotel!

Our experience at Blackbarn Hudson Valley was wonderful. The 'noise level' comment is because we dined outdoors by the Esopus waterfall! Blackbarn has recently renovated their interior space - you can smell the fresh cedar boards as you walk in the front door. The staff and manager were very friendly, caring, prompt and engaging. The food was very inventive and clearly made with love - something you hope to find, but rarely do. In final, we cannot wait to return to Blackbarn Hudson Valley and look forward to dining at their Madison Square Park location next time we 'hit the City'.

I had the sea bass and it was delicious. My wife had the pan seared sea scallops with risotto. The scallops were fantastic and the risotto was flavorful and cooked just right. We also had the charcuterie board which is always a favorite of ours. Definitely a great place for a great meal.

The food was very good. The host/manager had a lot on his plate and did a nice job, as the rest of the staff seemed mostly comprised of new, inexperienced people. They were all friendly, so that makes up for a lot. The food was quite slow coming out of the kitchen. I'm sure it'll all improve with time and experience. I would go back. Great view of the waterfall.

We were looking forward to a nice Saturday brunch and it was the first red flag when I asked the waitress how she was doing and she said "tired." She was completely unfamiliar with their menu. Like we ordered an orange soda for my son and she told me they didn't carry that. I had to show her on the menu and she just said she had never seen that before. I certainly shouldn't been surprised when she didn't get my order right. then had to ask twice for a second glass of wine. Mind that there were only like 5 tables occupied in the entire restaurant at that point. When she argued with my that they couldn't make what I ordered, I asked to talk to a manager. He did nothing to make it right. I was flabbergasted with the service. It was sad because the food we received was really good and the patio view was fantastic.

Beautiful restaurant on the Esoup creek, in Saugerties. About 1.5 miles off NYS Thruway. It has cozy bar, huge main dining room with stone fireplace and vaulted ceiling. Covered deck has nice view of the falls. We had black mission fig pizza, wild mushroom toast & maine lobster rolls all were amazing.service was very good even though they were very busy. We can't wait to return!

We had a delicious meal at the Blackburn HV. We started with the wild mushroom toast which was outstanding. For entrees I had the grilled summer squash salad and I added shrimp. It was so delicious. My husband had the ribs and they were excellent. We had the special gelato pistachio sandwich and the berry zabaglione and both were delicious. This restaurant is beautiful. It is right on the creek by the waterfall and the views are amazing. The service was excellent. I am so glad we found this beautiful place and can't wait to go again.

I had reserved the most expensive room - a suite. Arrived at 2:30pm. I said my name and that I was checking in. Without checking her computer first, I got a cold, "Check-in isn't until 3pm." I then told her that I'd paid for early check-in. "Oh." Then my husband and I were recited a laundry list of things we aren't allowed to do. This room was extremely expensive for the area. Nit-picky perhaps, but there was one choice of tea in the lobby..."Lipton's." Make an effort please. The pros are that the room was nice, clean and the people were generally nice.

The food is great and well presented, the service was very good very attentive to our needs and was very pleasant too. Eating inside or outside it is sure to be a memorable experience.

We came for a late lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly empty inside. The staff seemed new and slightly confused. It took a long time for someone to seat us (even though the tables were 3/4 empty), a long time to take our order (we had to ask for a waitress), at the end of the meal, they gave us someone else's check and credit cards by mistake. It's a beautiful setting and the food itself was good.
