Great food and service! Larisa is the best server! If you're craving good, reliable greek food, I highly recommend Aegean Cafe for lunch and/or dinner.

We went here for many years and always had a great experience. We went tonight and ordered two gyros and paid $33 for two half gyros. If you want to charge a certain amount make sure that you are actually providing enough meat for two people for $33. These are two lettuce gyros...half the meat for double the price.

The food, service and prices are excellent. All of their food is very good. Their spanakopita is one of the best we ever had. Try their Melitzanosalata, eggplant dip is something to try. Next time if your looking for a chicken souvlaki try the melt for a change.

I have gotten take out from here plenty of times and the food is delicious. I was so excited to finally be able to dine in with my grandma and my boyfriend tonight. Unfortunately, our waitress kept bringing up politics, making us very uncomfortable. Not sure if I would dine here ever again.

My favorite Greek food on the island! Love the casual atmosphere and friendly staff. A great mid level restaurant. They have the most delicious Greek salad with chicken! Love going with my mom but also went with my bf for a date night.

We’ve given this place our business for decades. We always support the local businesses in Sayville but after today we will never go back.
We had a gift certificate from a friend that I kept in a drawer and used when I wanted a gyro. I used it last week with no problem. There was just enough left for one more gyro and I went to get one to bring home.
The large blond cashier was so rude telling me that it had expired and I had no idea there was even an expiration date. I said I had no problem using it 4 days ago. A young cashier at the counter even told her “he used it last week” but she said no, it’s the rule.
She said, I’ll take it this one time because the boss isn’t here, but I’m not giving it back to you (There would’ve been $5 left on it. I was so furious!
I told her Fine, you keep that $5 balance and enjoy it because you’ll never get our business again! I grabbed my gyro and left before I really told her what I thought.
What a horrible way to run a business and treat customers! Restaurant gift certificates with expiration dates are atrocious. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I’ll never go back there, and in truth, I can find much better gyros elsewhere, as well as much better employees.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place This so-called “Aegean restaurant” is absolutely not what it claims to be. To even call it Aegean or authentic is completely misleading. We ordered seven different starters to share at the table. The cold mezes arrived quickly, but right from the first glance they looked strange. We asked the waiter if the stuffed vine leaves were from a can, and to his credit he honestly said, “Yes, canned food.” Unfortunately, it wasn’t just the dolmas – we soon realized the other starters were also canned. The hummus was the worst we’ve ever had, with an odd taste and unclear ingredients. The eggplant dish was straight out of a can. The only hot dish was fried zucchini, but even that came with a side of mashed potatoes clearly scooped out of a supermarket box – the powdered kind. The (tzatziki) was shocking: it was made from sour cream instead of yogurt. Tzatziki is always made with yogurt – this must be the first time in the world anyone tried to make it otherwise. It’s a shameful trick to serve canned food dressed up with a splash of olive oil and lemon and try to pass it off as authentic. We sent everything back. Even then, they gave us no discount and still charged the full bill and it was over $120,- and inedible food. The owner of this restaurant should be ashamed.
Everything is made right there doesn't sound like anything was sitting for days waiting to be recovered. Food smells incredible but needed a little more salt for flavor. The service is great and the place is very clean and the menu has a variety of different authentic Greek foods. The salad dressing is a little too acidic and could be tamed by me be adding a little cream as another option rather than having just the vinaigrette. I would definitely highly recommend going here and returning.
