Would not recommend. Everything we ordered was disappointing — easily one or two stars at best. The Manhattan clam chowder was extremely thin and butternut squash soup m tasted more like dishwater with sugar. The crab cake was just a fried patty of who-knows-what, and the broiled seafood platter had absolutely no flavor — like eating cardboard. Definitely not worth the visit.

I have been to the Cull House many times. It was always a summer favorite coming off the Sayville ferry. The Oysters Rockefeller were always exceptional. Today, they were almost inedible. I ordered the hot lobster roll, and there was not one piece of claw or tail. Not one piece could be picked up with a fork; the pieces were miniscule! Unfortunately, this visit ensures I will never be back, and I will never recommend it again. The food was less than mediocre. The service was slow because there was one person as the hostess, waitress, and bartender for the entire restaurant. We were seated before three others and had to ask for our drink orders well after others who were seated after had received there orders. It is so sad to see what was always a treat turned into a bad experience.

Considering the place had 12 people dining and drinking at bar the service was slower than slow, it was awful. Food was marginal. Do not recommend. First and last time here.

The service was perfect. The food was not. My fried shrimp was made with a heavy batter. It was not good. I would not go back to this restaurant in the future.

Ordered the fish and chips it was awful two tiny pieces of old smelly fish and four large chips and they had the audacity to charge $26 for which I didn't pay, fresh seafood what a joke,

Went to dinner on a very slow Tuesday night. There were 4 of us and we were seated immediately as the restaurant was very slow and not many people. Served our drinks and appetizer in a timely manner...and it was fine...we had ordered our entrees when we ordered appetizers. We waited quite a while for the main course to be served and we all noticed the waitress was in the next room talking to a table for 2 for quite a while. Finally a bus boy or expediter served our main course...we all had broiled seafood or broiled salmon. It should have been sizzling when served...all four entrees were only warm and all were dried out as though they had sat under the heat lamp for an extended period. We didn't say anything or make a scene, just paid for our meal and left. There is no way this should have happened on a slow Tuesday evening. I have been going to the Cull House for many years and never experienced this type of cold food or service with the previous owner or current owner...just a bad night...but it turned us off and we probably won't be back.

The food was adequate but unremarkable. While not bad, nothing stood out as particularly memorable or well-executed.

Unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. The staff seemed inattentive and unprofessional, which significantly detracted from the overall dining experience.

While the food was passable, the poor service makes this establishment difficult to recommend. Unless you have no other dining options in the area, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a more pleasant experience.

Let's call it 2.5 stars.

The food is incredible!!! The service was awful. I sat for 15 min before anyone took my drink order. Thankfully I was ready to order my food by the time they did come. Food came out quickly but then I have to wait over 35 minutes to get my check.

Entree really good. Oyster appetizer was edible (filled with broken shells). Service was good but what really bothered me was when a gentleman (manager/owner, I don't know) walked up to my table and asked if everything was ok and asked if we needed anything as he stood over the absolutely filty salt and pepper shakers. I said everything is good.

It is a small place. Not very attractive on the outside. Parking is hard to find. The FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!! The service is super friendly & quick. Well worth the wait for a parking spot.

Lobster Roll was the best thing ever! Get it with Tater Tots for a decadent treat. Thai Shrimp Soup, a special, was delicious. Was my first time here, it won’t be my last.

Lobster roll was a little dry, but a good quantity of meat. But to ask for 20,25, or 30% tip is unacceptable. This tells me you don’t pay your employees enough. Sad.

Went here for my wife's birthday, had a great experience, everyone loved their food. The live music was very good and not overwhelming meaning you didnt have to yell to have table conversation. We stayed for dessert and that was also delicious. The owner John came over to the table to say hello, that was a nice personal touch. Great food, great service and a fair price. We will definitely be back.

We walked in excited for a nice meal, but instead got 20 minutes of being ignored. No water, no drink order — just watching the waiter serve every other table, including people who sat down after us. We were the only people of color in the room, and it’s hard to ignore how different we were treated. What hurt even more is the waiter seemed to be part of another minority group(🏳️‍🌈), still chose to treat us this way. We left feeling unwelcome and disappointed.
