We ate early and so there were plenty of tables. The pizza is excellent! Nice cozy place. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Nice vibe. I would recommend it for couples and small gatherings.
This is the sister restaurant to Cafe Alaia, just up the street. Vincenzo Alaia keep a close watch on both venues and sees to it that they adhere to the same high standards. The food here is superb (there's a new chef from Italy who is even better than his predecessor) and though the wait staff (in the absence of the wonderful Cesar) is a bit green and easily overwhelmed, it's still a very satisfying place to spend an evening.
