We had shrimp cocktail, duck croquettes, rainbow trout, and the French dip. The croquettes were very good. I am told that the shrimp cocktail was good as well. The rainbow trout was also quite good. The French dip was exceptional. Truly outstanding. The only issue is that it was a special and not a regular menu item.

What a great dinner and experience! Chicken parm may be the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot of them over the years). Our drinks - a Cosmo and a Lemon Drop Martini were perfect. The owner greeted us at the door and was very friendly and accommodating. Denise, our server, was terrific. We'll return very soon.

They are creative with some dishes and we love to try to seasonal twists on some...be aware, it can get pretty loud as it's a small place and sometimes with groups around your table, it can be hard to hear you own table conversations. We just love it here and always return whenever we can!

A go to restaurant of ours but they dropped the ball on this occasion. The grilled shrimp appetizer was very good and as a main course we had the veal chop parmigiana. A pounded, bone-in chop that's a bit pricey. I knew the cost and was more than happy to pay it as I have enjoyed it in the past. Unfortunately, on this occasion, is was significantly overdone, on the verge of burnt, and dry. I would alway recommend the restaurant, but off the mark this time.

The staff/hospitality are always thoughtful and anticipatory, taking note of your favorite ‘Adult Bevie’ and having it prepared. That said I had never booked a catered affair there in their new private room. End to end Jamie made the process simple- Helping to narrow the food choices and add additionally. All guests are still talking about the amazing food, ambiance and the impeccable service. KUDOS to Meritage!

Tried to dine here and left feeling disappointed. From the moment my lady friends and I arrived, the service was noticeably slow and uncomfortable, as if the staff couldn’t be bothered. There was an older gentleman (the owner or manager perhaps, I assume) who was displeased & irritated with our attempt to sit at the bar. We eventually were allowed to sit down and menus were thrusted at us. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the visibly irritated bartender put waters down in front of us without any sort of greeting.
What made the experience worse? It was the uncomfortable atmosphere— subtle exclusion, dismissive body language, & outright lack of attention compared to other diners. Maybe bias played a role? No one should feel unwelcome or undervalued as a customer.
