My second time here and the food does not disappoint. Portions are not large. Not a place you will necessarily have leftovers..but...the prices are quite steep. I didnt initially blink at the dollar amounts, until I saw the plates. My chicken Scarparella had 2 small roasted potates, about 6 thin slices of sausage, & about 6 chunks of boneless chicken. along with the usual scoop of peppers. With an app and some bread, it was a fine portion...no app? You would be hungry and $30. I'm used to entree prices like this, but for more food. Finally..it was so bloody loud. We were near a table of men talking, yelling. laughing at the top of their lungs. So uncomfortable.

We had a mixed night at Sapporo Scarsdale last night. The food was flavorful and enjoyable, but it was noisy and the service was poor.
Our table wasn’t ready and it was obvious that the rain had forced other diners indoors. We waited about 15 minutes and were then seated at a wobbly table. I asked for someone to level it and someone tried and failed.
Throughout our meal, service was inattentive as the staff struggled with the crowd. Toward the end we could not find our waiter and it became apparent that he had left for the evening. There was no handoff and no one checked on us. I think the staff really tried under difficult circumstances.
To be fair, my previous visits have been better. I will certainly go back, but I may avoid peak hours.

We came on Valentines' day. The waiter did not listen to our needs and was rude and impatient. Ruined this important day. What's worse is 20% gratuity is added to the bill automatically even if your day is ruined. Btw, food is already disappointing. their lamb chops ($48) taste less fresh than the lamp chops I kept in the freezer for 6 months. my daughter love lamb chops and this is the first time she took a bite and refused to eat the rest - I'm so happy she refused otherwise I would get concerned.
