Scarsdale Metro Restaurant

Scarsdale Metro was a staple in the village of Scarsdale since 2000 and when I went by for a bite to eat this weekend I discovered this wonderful place after 22 years was no more. This place had wonderful employees who took care of you and were friendly and the food was quite good for a Diner. Apparently the gossip around town is that it has been sold and will become another restaurant. The sign on their door says to visit their sister restaurant Metro Deli on Palmer Avenue, on the other side of Scarsdale. Thank you Metro for so many wonderful memories over the years, we will miss you greatly.

We just ordered takeout lunch here. When we got home, we realized a portion of our order was missing. I called and asked if I could come back to pick up the missing items. When I arrived, they brought me to the counter and proceeded to lecture and yell at me about how I was wrong and that the items were definitely included. I was charged $78 for lunch, I simply wanted the items I paid for - which they ultimately gave me but not after a humiliating experience first. I have never been treated so rudely by any business and will not be eating here ever again.

Today is June 18,2022 and I just left this establishment because of a racist server who refused to serve us. I would never return or encourage others to visit this establishment. We arrived as a family and were placed outside and the server came out then turned back twice. Another person seated 2 white women and the server rushed out to take the order and they told her they weren’t ready. She left and went inside all during this time two separate people delivering water came to check on us but said they can’t take orders and twice I told them we wanted to order. Each time they went inside to get someone the white server returned and didn’t come to our table. We were the only people sitting outside and we were the only black people around. You might think a engineer wouldn’t experience racism but you are wrong. We did nothing wrong but we’re denied service. I am not confrontational or require a video to verify anything and it is sad that in America this still happens.

a great find and even better experience. impressed with the breakfast, going back for the lunch. food was tasty, service was timely. always tough to find great breakfast. highly recommend. sorry about the pics. ate the food to quick.

Fresh cooked pastrami and turkey. Fresh Brisket. I can not say enough about how nice the staff is. Food is always fresh.

The Scarsdale Metro Restaurant has become a treasured restaurant and thankfully continued to provide wonderful breakfasts, lunches snd dinners during the pandemic.

A diner but a nice diner. Service was good bathrooms are clean.

Location thrice. The owner is Fantastic. Service is as it should be. Thank you kindly good sir ✊

Great place, tasty food and great service. We’ve been coming for years.

Unfurtunely my bad expirience was with the waitress who after told her our rosted turkey was very hard to cut and dry, she was arguin with us. Saying the turkey is Like that, instead of offert an apologize. Plus the food last forever to came to the table on a tusday afternoon, when the restaurant only had 4 customers counting us. IT's a clean and confortable place, big and cute, but the customer service is the 80% of the quality.

I ate here on 15 APR 2021. The food, service, menu selection and pricing were all excellent. However, there is another issue .... all of the parking near here is either meter or permit parking. When I parked, there were 3 signs (permit needed, permits available at Town Hall only from 9/1-9/30, and a "Pay Station" with a green arrow). This seems clear - you need a permit, go to City Hall in Sep otherwise use machine. I received a ticket nonetheless. However, the REAL issue arose when I called the number on the back of the ticket, the Scarsdale Justice Court. When I called and tried to calmly explain what happened, the individual named Anistra starting screaming at me and hung up on me. The court clerk did the same (after instructing me very specifically to send as little correspondence as possible). I had to tell her seven times to calm down she was screaming so loud, then she too hung up on me. She made a false statement to the Scarsdale Police (I was informed of this when I called the Scarsdale Police to report a credit card fraud). The Scarsdale PD flatly refused to allow me to file a complaint, despite this being a clear case of credit card fraud.If you do business at this establishment, and don't UBER in, you are most likely to become a victim of a crime (credit card fraud, RICO, harassment in the second degree, police misconduct). And of you follow the instructions on the back of the citation, you WILL be threatened - by both the Police and the Scarsdale Court.So use common sense ..... patronize outside of Scarsdale in jurisdictions where the police department and judicial community engages in ethical practices.

It was my first time here today and it sure wont be my last. Everything was great from the food, to the cleanliness and last but not least the customer service. I definitely will be back shortly.

For a small diner, and the first time eating there they make 1 hell of a burger, super clean establishment, very attentive staff.
