Had lunch there while on a senior tour with Colonie senior citizens. Great location in the stockade section of schenectady. Enjoyed the tour and lunch . Historic section of schenectady. Hope to return some time .

Highlight was the fresh strawberry lemonade. Group has a range of things including the turkey sandwich, ham sandwich, brie sandwich, and one of the salads. No one was disappointed. Got an array of baked good and the cinnamon roll was amazing.

I remember this place 35 y ago and it was a very charming little grocery and had coffee and food also....it is now just a cafeteria style deli type place with the feel and prices you would find in Tribeca....the food has a pre-made look and feel and not sure if it's shipped in or made there...but in my opinion the food is so so and mediocre...and don't complain or ask for an extra condiment etc...they look at you like ...how dare you!!...we'll when you pay 17d for a take out breakfast sandwich... a coffee and a juice you would expect to be treated w accomodation...nope its 2025 and I guess a thing of the past..they just give you that lost gen z look when they arent looking at their phones...and I am doubting their claim to making the food there as they won't substitute anything...or it's all premeasured and they have nothing else to work with idk But its very expensive for what you get ....it's more like a brand or a style of a type that goes there not about the substance of the place...not impressed at all and nothing screams for me to go back...6.5 for a croissant..the placid baker in troy is the real deal and 5 d ...same type of menu but made there and a real bakery/cafe....so yeah ...just a money grab for whomever owns it...with some extremely expensive kitchen things for sale also. So yeah...bleh...left me feeling overcharged and not cared about as a patron.
an adorable cafe with great drinks and an open, airy seating area. we ordered a strawberry lemonade, a matcha, an earl grey lemon loaf, and a fig and brie sandwich and sat at one of the large communal tables to enjoy our treats. there is plenty of seating, and a good mix of people socializing and people reading/working on their computers. they also sell locally made pantry goods as well as cold sandwiches and other food to go.

Walked in on a quiet Sunday morning and was glad to find this local gem. Drinks are seasonal and delicious, calm inviting atmosphere with regular community activities and a cute outdoor seating area. I have yet to try their baked goods but I plan to on my next trip!

Coffee here was excellent - we tried the drip, cortado and latte, and all were of great quality. Service was wonderfully pleasant, and price was very reasonable. We will be back for sure, and have already told our friends who live locally about this gem.
