“3.7 stars rounding to 4; this is a good dive/local bar. Peckhams Place, or as my friends affectionately call it - Peckerhams, has been a favorite spot for locals in the village of Scotia for decades, and was introduced to me as "the place we go when we aren't ready for the night to end" when I first moved here. Peckhams is under new ownership this year, and we are loving what we've seen with the changes, so far. It is the same local basement bar atmosphere we love to love [I'm talking decent beer prices ("i pay less for a Wolf Hollow here than AT Wolf Hollw"), sports on TV, a pool table and space to be with your people] but with more UMPH and interest than recent years. I was THRILLED to see a live music scheduled throughout the year and have been excited by other events they've shared on social media, including offering a Turkey Dinner for anyone who may not have family and wanted to come by to eat and celebrate together on Thanksgiving. [and then my heart grew three sizes.] Added bonus: according to their website, Peckhams Place is now able to accommodate parties up to 75 people and they offer catering by Ruggiero's.“
