Old time diner. Stopped by for dinner, got the chicken Parmesan, it came with soup, salad, bread!!!! The waitress said I’d have enough for leftovers, she was right!!! This restaurant reminded me of days, quality gone by. Music was an accompaniment not overwhelming as it should be!!! I left there feeling full and welcomed. Food was excellent as was the staff!!!

Not service dog friendly. Refused to be served due to my disability. Lady demanded my papers nd that my dog wear a vest. I was embarrassed that she was bringing attention to my disability. My dog does wear a collar.

She didn’t care what the law is: from NY State. Q: What questions can be asked to determine if an animal is a service animal?
A: In situations where it is not obvious that an animal is a service animal, you may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the animal a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the animal been trained to perform? You are not allowed to request any documentation for the animal, require that the animal demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability.
Q: Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals?
A: No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness.

My son took me for breakfast. Awesome restaurant, great food, good old fashion diner. Remember going here after rollerskating as a kid all the time.

Nothing to brag about, and nothing above average.
Food was mediocre, prices were okay, but portions were smaller. Server was nice and polite. Easy parking in a big parking lot.

I was drawn to this diner due to good reviews as I was passing by. I was disappointed with the poor service. The food was fair. Hopefully it was just a glitch and a bad day.

We came on a Sunday afternoon around 12:00. We originally wanted to check out Blue Ribbon Restaurant, but the line was out the door. We looked up diners nearby and landed on this one. Our server was not very attentive, and we didn’t get timely refills on pretty small coffee cups. The food was just average and nothing to write home about. There was a lot of silly add-ons for omelettes, like 50 cents if you want toast or potatoes with your omelette. We had pancakes and bacon that were alright, and my mother-in-law had a turkey wrap. We won’t come back. I would HIGHLY recommend Capital City Diner in Albany.
