The place was clean and well illuminated, while the staff was friendly and efficient. I got exactly what I asked for. The turkey on white bread sandwich. The horseradish mayo sauce was just right. Not to aggressive or bland. It was so good I finished it all. The potato salad was good too. I will be going back for more and try a different combination next time.
Had to pay a visit to Slicks before they officially close their doors next week. I ordered a roast beef on rye and it was enormous! Like 4 inches tall enormous! Not to mention it was the freshest roast beef I've ever had! Well worth the $15! I was able to split it with my girl and we were both full! I wish I had visited them more often and I'm definitely sad to see them go! Do yourself a favor and stop by before they officially close down next week!
Great classic Stockade feel. The history is there (just look at the walls lined with pictures) and the sandwiches are huge! Always happy to stop in for food and a pint (UC on draft??). Thank you for being there!
