It was our first visit here. We sat on the porch for dinner, which has a view of the lake. All of the waitstaff were super friendly, our server didn't rush and took the time to chat to us. The menu is varied, so you could have a burger if you wanted one. We had bruschetta as an app, rainbow trout and salmon over linguine for dinner. Service was incredibly slow. Many customers were complaining. The servers were WONDERFUL. The kitchen was slow. Our food took forever. We waited well over an hour after ordering for our entrees to arrive. We were also overcharged for several items. The prices on the menu did not align with the prices on the bill. Brown Swan is at a lovely resort. Restaurant with beautiful views of Schroon Lake and grounds. Eating on the porch is a treat. We were two couples. Three of us ordered short ribs which were outstanding. Remaining person ordered Maple Chicken which was excellent flavor but this man said it could have been larger pieces of chicken breast.
