The quality has diminished considerably over the years, while the prices have risen sharply - service was just average - and food was very mediocre as the chicken parm is much better at other establishments we’ve frequented recently

Excellent food, generous portions, and fair prices. The Turf Tavern never disappoints us. We enjoyed a delicious leisurely dinner with old friends last night. Unlike many restaurants, the acoustics are conducive to quiet conversation. The Veal Milanese was outstanding as were the mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Included in the price was a delicious salad and fresh warm bread. It’s hard to find this combination of quality, quantity, and price anywhere else in the Capital District.

This review is for the banquet room ... staff was attentive and friendly and the food was great. Very hard, IMHO, to have good tasting fish in a banquet line, but the scroll was delicious. When it was time for dessert, we were able to provide an alternative for our gluten free guests.

Historic old place in a historic old place (the stockade). Great atmosphere and JAZZ! Great service and nice selection of craft beers. Reasonable prices. Will be back.
What a wonderful experience we had here for my grandma's 77th birthday! The venue accommodated our party of 20 and did everything flawlessly. Every order correct, done promptly and with care! There were a lot of clean plates and zero complaints from even our picky eaters!
