Excellent food, generous portions, and fair prices. The Turf Tavern never disappoints us. We enjoyed a delicious leisurely dinner with old friends last night. Unlike many restaurants, the acoustics are conducive to quiet conversation. The Veal Milanese was outstanding as were the mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Included in the price was a delicious salad and fresh warm bread. It’s hard to find this combination of quality, quantity, and price anywhere else in the Capital...
This review is for the banquet room ... staff was attentive and friendly and the food was great. Very hard, IMHO, to have good tasting fish in a banquet line, but the scroll was delicious. When it was time for dessert, we were able to provide an alternative for our gluten free guests.
