Bought breakfast sandwich and some cold cuts. Everything was very good and fresh. A little pricey but great quality. Service lady was excellent. Friendly.

Food wasn’t bad but portion size compared to the roll my egg sandwich was on really wasn’t great the sausage was half the size of the roll. Tasted ok but they forgot my ketchup.

Been going here my whole life. Live around block, loved this place. I just went in there and got charged 4.00 to add lettuce and tomato to a sandwich!!! 8 dollars for chicken on a roll yet the receipt says hero. Literally charged for me toppings that come on every sandwich they sell. Despicable. Got a sandwich, fries and a pickle and cost me 28 dollars. You guys should be ashamed. And then the counter guy had the nerve to say " of course you do" when i said since when do you have to pay for lettuce and tomato. Safe to say they lost my business.

We've (Wantagh Senior Center) been fortunate enough to find this gem of a deli.We order egg sandwiches for our brunches. It's not easy to please 25-30 seniors at one time with an order. But, they've managed to do it. They all arrive hot and delicious. We've also ordered complete turkey dinners for about 25 of our seniors. They were spectacular! Turkey, potatoes, fresh crispy veggies, stuffing and gravy. Everything was hot and so very tasty. Can't wait until our next function so we can again enjoy their wonderful food and service.All of the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. It's hard to find all this in one shop.

I work in the area, so have tried a fair few Delis nearby. My stores preferred Deli started to shift during covid and fell out of favor, and so me and my co-workers began the arduous quest for a good sandwich. At this juncture, we've got to J&G probably about 4 times. I've personally had the Italian (What I consider the universal point-of-reference for a Deli) and their Italian Mozz (Cutlet, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers) and both were great. Perfect faire, and enough to cement this as our new go-to.Today, I went on a wild hare. I ordered the Spicy Beef Hero. I took my first bite and felt what I surmised to be what my Ancestors must've felt when they felled a mammoth. It was everything it said on the tin, hot, spicy, and with beef. But that's only partial information. The absolute symphony of flavor left me dumbstruck. The pickles and peppers were stars of the show, and really bring a brightness against the meat and pepper jack. The Chipotle mayo throws down and carries flavor throughout the whole sandwich.It's just brilliant. Best sandwich I've had in years, and I eat sandwiches with a zealous fervor. Warren Zevon imparted a wisdom upon us long ago, to enjoy every sandwich. I have never enjoyed a sandwich with such ferocity in my life. Maybe it's because it was Monday, and I was fiending for the respite lunch brings. Or maybe the stars were aligned right, and my sandwich was the locus of all flavor in the universe.I just think they make a mean sandwich.

Ughhhhhhh GOSH I love this place so much it makes me mad I can’t eat here more frequently. We order from this place for lunch at my job whenever we’re craving deli/sandwiches. My coworkers have all agreed that this is now the go-to deli in the area for us.Their Long Islander sandwich is TOO GOOD!!!!! It’s not something I would usually order since it’s a little unique but I tried it one time and ohmygod it’s phenomenal???It’s a good thing l don’t live closer because I would give this place all my money, I swear.

I wanted to do a new review, after I though about it, my previous experience was not based on the delis as a whole... after re evaluation, I felt that... this was just a busy busy day for them and there might have been a bit of confusion and language barrier, however that could happen anywhere you go. And as someone who recently moved from another part of Long Island it isn't un common as I'm learning to spend $15 -$17 dollars on a coffee egg sand which and hash brown, or roll sand which chips and a drink ... this I learned is the normal going rate i have seen in most massapequa delis so far. Give them a shot! Try not to go when it's too busy, better all around experience, thank you j&g.

Watch what u are charged they double charge u then argue with u they are severely over priced and blame the owner. Went back a few times prior get the same thing allways a different price. Stay away

J & G's is literally one of if not the best deli's on Long Island. The members are extremely nice and polite. They make you feel like part of the family. They have the best sandwiches without a doubt. That's why I always order from them. I've tried majority of the sandwiches from J & G's
