Stop by for a quick lunch , i order a beef with sauteed onions wich had a funny gas taste , i let the waitress know about after paying cuz i wasn't looking to get anything for free from them , also order a slice of cake call biscocho dominicano , wich i had alot in several other places but this particular one was a bit dry wich i don't believe is supposed to be like it , first time experience was not great and i will not recomended

The food was great. I saw a review about the garlic chicken and I decided to get it, GREAT CHOICE! I highly recommend. I'm from CT just wanting some good food, I yelped this area and BAM!

Have visited twice. Very simple place but the food is delicious and the service has always been a 10/10. It is the best mofongo I have found so far in Westchester, NY so I am grateful for it.

Great food been coming here for years. I usually get the garlic roast chicken, white rice and beans. They could do better with the beans to be honest, half the time it's a few beans and mainly the bean juice.

I'd forgotten how much I loved the old Corona lunch turned Ambar Restaurant and recently rediscovered it while in the area craving Dominican food. Great new location with parking and tables instead of the old counter service. I was informed they only serve Sancocho on Monday and Wed. So we had the seafood soup and Oxtail stew instead. The seafood soup came with big pieces of lobster in the shell and was served with a lobster cracker. There was tons of shellfish and seafood as well in a rich delicous soup. The oxtail was divine. We came back two days later just for the Sancocho. Service was great. I highly recommend!

Food is awesome. We do take out and oh man you have to try this place out. It's just great quality. We haven't tried out their new place since they did move but I don't doubt that it wouldn't be a great time.

The food is not that bad but they are not hygienic at all, since you open the doors there is grease/dirt everywhere on the doors, sales and floor, too desirable, when you go through the kitchen, the same thing, they should be cleaner , and they can do better. I asked for mofongo de chicharrón and they gave me more plantain and almost no chicharrón.

As a Latino myself, I am very picky about my ethnic food. My wife and I RARELY go out to eat at Latino restaurants because my wife is a great Latina cook BUT if I need to eat AUTHENTIC food, this is the ONLY place we order from.

Totally amazing down home Latino comfort food. The flavors brought back wonderful memories of family gatherings and happiness.

Food here is amazing! My go to place for Dominican/Spanish food. One of my Fave dish is the pork ribs stew. That sauce is unreal and the ribs are so tender. Really good portions for the price. Not big into beans but the only place I would eat them at. Those reds beans are legit!

An extremely happy accident! I was meeting up with some friends in the area and the restaurant we first tried was closed so we wandered over to Ambar. Excellent portions, a wide selection of juices, and the taste was fantastic! I look forward to trying more dishes next time we're in the area.
