08/29/2024 I entered with my husband at 8:50, the host asked us where we wanted to sit, said she was going to prepare our table, comes back 5 minutes later and tells us sorry, they just closed the kitchen, kitchen closed an hour before the restaurant closes? Would I understand if we had entered with 20 minutes to close? But 1 whole hour? We had been driving from Selden, excited because we had heard very good things about the place. We cannot give an opinion on the food because we could not try it! Now we are at casa luis, which also closes at 10pm but they are happy to serve us!

Amazing food and great service! I’ve been here for brunch and dinner and will keep returning. I’ve also been to several places in the area and nothing compares. Highly recommend!

The red snapper was outstanding as were the vegetables. The wait staff were inattentive and blah. The Cuban steak was So-so. The sparking water was NOT chilled and not as you would expect. So much potential for improvement

The food here is delicious. The service was surprisingly bad. Nick the bartender should be Nick the dishwasher really. What a terrible bartender. Zero personality. Literally made us wait while he started a full blown conversation with a waiter. Staring at us while he spoke. The waiter at dinner was no better. Probably worse. We had to repeatedly ask for simple things the table was missing. And again we waited and waited. The place was not even busy. Hardly anyone there. I honestly don't think this place will last. Unless they hire people who as least act like they care about their jobs.

My wife brought me here on a date night. the ambiance lacks the "Cuban authenticity"
The food was decent. Our waitress was very attentive and cordial. She deserves a 5 star. However at the end of the night, I got the sneaky 4% surcharge if paying with a credit card.
Apparently this is illegal...here is the quote.
"but cannot charge more at the register simply because a consumer uses their credit card", said Secretary of State Rossana Rosado, who oversees the New York State Division of Consumer Protection.Mar 21, 2024"
that being said,I still left 20% for the waitress in addition to the surcharge.
Pay your own damn bills and stop snaking the customers to pay for your operating expenses. definitely reporting this. Thank you to the waitress for her exemplary service.

Can I say perfection at its best. From the very moment I walked in with my party Julian was very welcoming and accommodating. Julian’s service was outstanding in its totality. Everyone’s food was delicious; arrived in a timely manner and was nicely presented. The place was beautiful; making it perfect for any occasion. The atmosphere was great and the place was very clean. Overall, I highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I had an incredible dining experience at Coco Bistro Kitchen and Lounge! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy meal. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The Agave Wings, Carne Asada, Pernil Asada, and Seafood Yuca Mofongo were all exceptional. The cocktails and mocktails were heavenly, perfectly complementing the meal. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the staff. They were not only attentive and friendly but also made incredible recommendations that elevated the entire experience. I highly recommend Coco Bistro Kitchen and Lounge to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Mixture of Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican and Carribian food. Mojo dipping sauce was thousand Island dressing, huh? Waiter swore it was Mojo! Would not go back.

So happy we did a double take!
Went here on a Friday night and it was suspiciously empty. My date was suggesting we go somewhere else but I didn't really feel like going through the hassle of looking for another restaurant and it was already maybe 9pm or so... Best food ever! The servers were great. Beautiful restaurant. Can't wait to come back!

While I have been here before and enjoyed it, this time was not so great. To start the bar was inconsistent. The first round was great, the second was not. They were rushed and gross. My son ordered a virgin cocktail. It was good but the second was half the size of the first and the same price. Service in the kitchen was slow but most of the food was okay. The waiter was very nice but he has no power over the kitchen. It was mid week but they were busy. The black bean soup was awful. They took it back without issue. I would try this place but I’m not in a rush. It was to expensive to have this many errors.

Came here for a friend's engagement party. I have a lot of food allergies so called ahead. They were so sweet and attentive, careful to make sure I was able to have a good time with everyone. Food was INCREDIBLE. Shout-out to Emily and Esias' sister (I'm so sorry I forgot your name!!) really friendly and connected. Fantastic service and UNREAL empanadas. Can't wait to go back!
