I'm thrilled to report that Carmelina in Smithtown has had a total glow up under new management, and it's like a pizza Cinderella story. Once upon a time, the pizza was overpriced and, let's be honest, not really the star of anyone's dinner table. But now? Same name, new owner, and a total pizza revolution.

What really makes them stand out is their use of halal chicken for their buffalo chicken pizza. Yes, you heard that right: a buffalo chicken pizza that's not just phenomenal in flavor tangy sauce, perfect cheese but also has this awesome sesame crust. As a sesame crust enthusiast, I'm basically in pizza heaven. It's quality ingredients all the way, and it doesn't leave you feeling like you've just eaten a brick.

On top of that, the service is great and the owners are genuinely so nice it's the kind of warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back before you've even left. And the best part? They're planning to expand their halal meat options, which is just fantastic.

So if you haven't been back to Carmelina since the old days, do yourself a favor and give it another shot. You might just find your new favorite slice.

Worst place ever!!!!!! Went there to eat and ordered the surf and turf, when I received my plate there was no seafood. I told the waiter and she acted like I didn’t even say anything. So I went to guy at the counter and I can’t tell you how rude he was. After basically calling me a lier he yells at me asking if I wanted him to fire the cook. All I wanted is what I paid for. I would never go back. This place is a joke.

If your car is going to break down, let it break down in the Village Center, that’s where this pizzeria is and you can have outstanding pizza while you wait for AAA! That’s what I did!

Pizza is very good, been to a lot of local places and this one is on the top of my list. Try the upside down.

Way overpriced compared to any other pizza place located in Commack, Smithtown, or Kings Park. In addition, the quality of the pizza left quite a bit to be desired. The only reason it's not one star is that it's not the worst pizza I've had.

I can’t say enough great things about Carmelina’s Pizzeria and Ristorante in Smithtown, NY! My family and I stumbled upon this gem last weekend, and it’s already become our go-to spot for pizza and Italian food. From the moment we walked into their cozy location at 61a NY-111, the warm, welcoming vibe made us feel right at home. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, and you could tell they take pride in what they do.
The pizza? Absolutely phenomenal! We ordered their grandma pie, and let me tell you, that thin Sicilian crust with fresh mozzarella and plum tomatoes was a game-changer. You can taste the quality of their ingredients—rumor has it they make their own mozzarella in-house, and it shows. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce had just the right balance of sweet and tangy, and every bite was pure comfort. We also tried their homemade mozzarella sticks, which were golden, gooey, and served with a marinara sauce that tasted like it came straight from an Italian nonna’s kitchen.
Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service.. We also grabbed one of their family deals—such a steal for the amount of food you get! It fed all four of us with leftovers to spare, and the variety of salads and pastas included made everyone happy.
The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, perfect for a casual dinner or a quick slice with friends. They’ve got a great setup for dine-in, takeout, or delivery, and everything was spotless and inviting. If you’re in Smithtown and craving authentic Italian food with a family-run feel, Carmelina’s is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to our next trip—maybe Five stars all the way
