We ordered over $80.00 worth of food for dinner and everything was so tasteless, soggy and inedible. I called to try and either get remakes or a refund and was told over and over again they don't do returns or remakes. In this economy to not even try to make the customer happy or remake inedible food is insane to me. Ive been a server a bartender and a front of house manager and this is not how buisness is done. I will not be back neither will my family and unfortunately we are out almost 100.00 on food I need to season and reheat to enjoy. DO NOT EAT HERE.
Also my husband told them I had a shellfish allergy and im now slamming down benadryl and my night is wasted with bad food and an allergic reaction.
We ordered general tsos (soggy with no flavor, the rice was hard with no flavor or salt for that matter) Mango chicken (flavorless and cold) Duck Ramen (duck was greasy, no flavor, no crisp) Dumplings (dough was thick and middle was again tasteless) Beef lo mein (greasy, soggy, no flavor even soy sauce cant save it) Garlic broccoli (surprisingly the best thing we recieved but was still lacking flavor) Chicken wings ( crispy but no flavor not even salt. Flavorless)
We tried to a pot luck type of dinner with my mother in law and all of use were beyond disappointed. I would have rather had a double cheeseburger from McDonald's smh.

I read some of the comments and I am very surprised. I have been going here for years and it is EXCELLENT. Really the best Chinese food around. Do not be discouraged by the reviews. It is worth the visit and the food is very very good!!

Empire Ginger, is known for having the best dumplings on The Island, and they definitely do, but don't sleep on the rest of their menu, incredible soups, chef specialties dishes, etc. if you're in the Hauppauge Smithtown area, great, if not, they're worth the trip.

I've been ordering from Empire Ginger once a week for 19 years. Today is the last time I order from them. I've noticed the quality of food has gone down the last few months. Today I placed an order and I waited 1 1/2 hours for ice cold food. Chinese take out is a dime a dozen. It's time I try a different take out. Good bye Empire Ginger. I hope you get your s*** together because if you don't, you gonna be out of business.

Scam! Food is bad, i ordered fried dumplings and fried scallops, the dumplings were a ball of thick dough, and seemed OLD, the scallops weren’t cook all the way through, and when paying they charge more than the price on the menu( after tax) they do not have heat in freezing temperatures so be ready to be super cold inside there, I will never buy here again
