Overall score: 3 stars. Food gets 5 stars. But this is a coffee and breakfast joint, I don't want to calculate tips at 7 in the morning, this is not a full service restaurant. They need to change this from a tipped restaurant to a fixed price.

The restaurant was empty as we walked in,but the waitress told us to wait at the door next time. We ordered a sandwich to share and was told there was a $6 sharing charge, so annoying but we ordered French fries, to cover the sharing charge. The sandwich was chicken very dry. Never going back!! I don't know what's so special about this place.

First time for my wife and I this afternoon, and we both LOVED Javier’s! She had chicken salad sandwich on toasted rye and I had grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, spinach and tomato on toasted rye. Excellent choices, and their potato salad and Cole slaw were also delicious. Chris was our server, and he was also friendly and attentive. We found our “new place”!!

I came around 11:30 on a Thursday and I asked to sit outside with my service animal… we were told no we are not able to be seated and they don’t allow service animals. We have been coming here for YEARS and I’m very disappointed. There have been multiple occasions that I have seen dogs on the outdoor patio and I couldn’t have my service animal on the patio. There was also another family with a dog waiting to be seated and they were unhappy to hear they wouldn’t let the dog be seated outside, and they had commented they were there a few weeks ago and the dog was allowed and it WAS NOT a service animal.

Javier's is a cozy, casual breakfast/ brunch spot. The service is terrific, and the menu offers a great selection of sweet and savory choices. Go hungry or be prepared to bring some home. I suggest getting there early for breakfast as it fills up quickly.
Consistently good food from a local favorite. Service is friendly and always on top of a coffee refill . Can get loud due to metal ceiling. Can take larger groups by moving tables. Lunch was available during breakfast.
