One of the advantages of this restaurant is that the menu changes generally on a seasonal basis. On our visit last night there were changes to both the starter and pasta selections. The specials are always interesting and the dishes cooked on the wood-fired grill are outstanding. Osteria Umbra is always worth visiting.

We had the privilege of celebrating our wedding at Osteria Umbra one year ago and our guests are still talking about how it was the most amazing and memorable wedding. Chef Marco was an absolute pleasure to work with, making planning seamless. He was so flexible and accommodating, yet meticulous with details. He is an expert in his craft. The staff (shout out to Brandon!!) exceeded expectations, going above and beyond in catering to our friends and family. It was obvious they were enjoying our wedding with us, which made it so much more special than a wedding hall. Osteria Umbra made our unique wedding vision a perfect reality. It was the epitome of elegance and class, with an exquisite culinary experience. It was a true fairytale. Thank you Chef Marco and all of the Osteria Umbra family! We love you, and are forever grateful!

An excellent meal and a lovely evening, but with two flaws. The major flaw is dessert. None of them lived up to the promise of the meals, but one particularly rankled. A dessert billed as chocolate souffle, and served in a ramekin, turned out to be essentially a lava cake, and not a souffle at all. That is a serious failing. If you think that it is okay to call a lava cake a souffle, add a star, but only if you are also okay with mandatory coat check, which was the second flaw.

Their truffles pasta is my favorite meal of all time!! Just sad when they change the menu so much, they took away my fiancés favorite dish which was the purple gnocchi and never put it back on

My boyfriend made reservations for a date night and it’s probably one of my favorite dates ever. You feel the coziness as soon as you walk in and the hostess was very friendly and greeted us with a smile, we felt very welcome! It is beautiful inside with a great view of their famous grill but we were sat in a little more quiet/intimate area in the back which we loved. They were busy and still very attentive and the noise level just felt like background noise, it’s nice to be able to talk without shouting.
Our server Sage (if I remember correctly) went above and beyond with recommendations and answering any questions we had as well as giving us information about the place and their imported cheese — which by the way, GET THE SPAGHETTI that he recommended as an appetizer to share since it’s very rich, he wasn’t wrong! Had I ordered that as a meal I would’ve loved it regardless but it’s much better as an appetizer to then have room for the steak :) we ordered the Wagyu (to share, it’s 40oz) and it is hands down my favorite steak I’ve EVER had. We ordered medium rare and that’s exactly how it came out with a crispy outer layer. Every bite was full of flavor and the quality of the steak was well worth the price. We finished off with the Pistachio cake and absolutely loved it! For the drinks I got the Cinnamon Apple Martini and I cannot believe I’ve gone this long without trying such a good cocktail, it wasn’t overbearingly sweet and almost had the consistency of apple sauce but not as thick, just the perfect amount and they are pretty generous with the alcohol too. My boyfriend got the Velvet Fig which he really liked as well, he loves a sweet drink!
Everything was delicious and tasted authentic & fresh. Thank you for making this date very special, we hope to come back again soon! Thank you Sage for the AMAZING service

Food was exceptional - attention to detail both on the culinary side as well as service. Smoked cocktails elevated the pre dinner cocktail experience. Try the smoked Margarita with Mezcal.
