I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for quite some time, and I will start by saying that the ambiance was truly tranquil and inviting. The dining room had a clean, modern aesthetic with beautiful lines throughout, tasteful guard rails surrounding the walls, and stunning artwork representing different regions of Italy. The atmosphere alone created a wonderful first impression and set expectations high.

Unfortunately, the food experience did not match the beauty of the setting.

We started with the arancini as an appetizer, and they were disappointing. The rice balls were not entirely filled and had noticeable pockets at the top of each one, making them feel incomplete. The fiori were also overly greasy and heavily fried.

For our entrées, we ordered the pork chop with polenta and a large pasta dish with eggplant. The polenta resembled cream of wheat more than the rich yellow polenta I grew up with in an Italian household. It lacked both the appearance and texture I was expecting. The pasta looked “al dente” simply by looking at it — dark in color and sitting among eggplant pieces that seemed to be swimming in olive oil rather than complementing the dish.

We decided to skip dessert and end our evening there.

It is disappointing because the potential is clearly present. The atmosphere is lovely and thoughtfully designed, but the food felt rushed and lacked the care and understanding that these traditional dishes deserve. I truly hope the kitchen takes the time to refine the process and bring authenticity and attention to the menu, because the foundation is there.

So sorry to say this was a disappointment.

This is a very cozy restaurant in Saint James. We went for dinner on a Friday evening and only waited about 15 minutes, with a reservation.

The service was impressive and even though the inside is small, they found a way to keep the noise level down.

The food was very good, I’d suggest the polenta appetizer, as well as the carpaccio. Both were made well, tasted delicious and had very fresh ingredients.

The pumpkin ravioli, supposedly the calling card, was actually the only disappointment of the entire meal. It was very one-note and bland.

The drinks are quite pricy, and the Bourbon Street had entirely too much lemon for a drink that should have a hint of lemon. When it was made, the actual bartender was busy and someone else jumped in to help. That person should not be allowed behind a bar, gladly we did not pay for them.

Overall, I’d definitely go back and order a different meal, my wife’s Tortellini were especially delicious.

My husband and I recently came across this restaurant when looking online and decided to try it out. We were very satisfied with the service and the food was excellent. Very happy we found this place, and we definitely plan to come back again soon.

1st time diner at this Restaurant there was a little wait but worth every minute.
Food was excellent, to start the bread and olive oil was fresh and delicious . We ordered grilled octopus along with prosciutto burrata appetizers and our main courses were the Bone in Veal chop, Pappardelle with short rib and the Wild Salmon with herbs all excellent . Pietro exceeds with the use of very best ingredients available. Each dish is finished to perfection using fresh herbs sauces and fine cheese .The delicous layered flavors continue with every bite!

I visited Pietro for the first time and was impressed! Everyone was super friendly, including the owner! The food was very tasty - I’m excited to come back and enjoy their outdoor space once it’s warmer.

Service was great. Very attentive. Was let down by the food. The appetizer of pistachio eggplant is not an appetizer but a meal. Heavy and missing something. While I enjoyed my meal, my wife found the stuffed chicken to be dry and the spinach to be way too salty.

This resturant came highly regarded by a few friends of mine, i had relatively high hopes for a great experience.

My wife and I made a 7:30 reservation and understandably we had to wait about 15 minutes past because it was busy.

After being seated to an unset table, it took about another 15 minutes to get our first cocktail. The “server” who didn’t even introduce himself, nor show any kind of welcome to their resturant just asked us “drinks?” and ran immediately away.

Appetizers, undercooked and soggy calamari and a somewhat decent ceasar salad. Nothing special.

Entree, Tortelloni pasta with an extremely oily sauce and their pork special which i had 2 bites and felt like i was at the mediocre pizzeria around the block

To end this experience, we asked for the bill and then was asked if i didn’t enjoy my food. Of course i said that i was
dissapointed in the whole evening. We saw the server walk over and talk to the owner, who glanced at the table but i guess just didn’t care. Then we realized that we were charged for a drink that we never got and had to ask for it to be rectified.

Bill paid, wife and i went over to NOCO for desserts and actually good service.

To say disappointment would be an understatement. Hopefully it was only because they were understaffed or something but we won’t be back to find out nor will we recommend anyone else to find out.

Disappointing. I ordered wild salmon. The salmon was pale and seemed fatter than the wild salmon I usually eat. It looked like farm raised. The vegetables were good. My husband's chicken was chewy but he liked the spinach. The service was non descript.

It's difficult to review due to it being NYE. The food was great and the portions were more than I expected! The service was ok. Our server was catering to a larger party. Again, it was NYE. He was in fact pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner was so inviting. He treated everyone like family. I will go back again when it isn't a holiday. I'm sure I won't be disappointed!

We were rushed and bumped around by the staff. The host was rude. We were asked to leave immediately after paying the bill even though it had only been an hour and ten minutes. It was New Years Eve, but still. The food was okay, though expensive for what it was.
