Starbucks in Smithtown is a great spot to relax and recharge! The baristas are friendly and always get the drinks just right. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for meeting friends or getting some work done. Consistently great coffee and excellent service every time!

The drive-thru service at this location is stellar. The efficiency and friendliness is off the charts awesome. I really think it's the people that are working there that make the difference because other Starbucks are slow as molasses and usually have poor management guiding their staff

One night, when I was there inside during a call for work, about a half hour before they were supposed to close, they had shut all of the lights off. Leaving all the customers in the dark. A simple, “hello, we’re closing early tonight“ would have sufficed. Never had that happen to me before. We all left in the dark which I guess was kind of dangerous. I know for sure it wasn’t a power outage since they all were staring at us to leave and when we left, they turned them back on to close up. It was very rude to say the absolute least. We kinda all left in shock.

I’m a loyal Starbucks customer and stop in daily—but I don’t usually visit this location, and after my last two visits, I won’t be returning. On both occasions, the staff was noticeably rude and inattentive. I had to repeat my order multiple times because the barista kept getting it wrong, and when I got to the window, she was too busy discussing her personal life and a migraine with another employee to even acknowledge me properly.

I had to ask twice for a straw—she completely ignored me the first time. The second time, she handed it to me without a word, scanned my app, and shut the window. No greeting, no thank you, no basic courtesy.

To top it off, the bacon and egg bites I ordered were cold, as if they had been sitting there for a while—not freshly prepared. The whole experience felt like an afterthought, not a place that values its customers.

I don’t typically write negative reviews, but the lack of basic customer service here was really disappointing.

Typically stop by for a latte or coffee on my way to work. At this location, I’ve gotten my drink wrong sometimes. This time
I was waiting at the drive thru and no one answered. When I drove up to the window, there were 4 young employees standing around. I asked if they noticed anyone on the drive thru. A young female told me no. I was like can I order here? She responded yeah like it was a bother. No apology, no thank you for waiting. Rude service.

On February 3rd, I stopped by for coffee and food before joining an important conference Zoom meeting.

I kindly asked the staff if they could please lower the volume of the music and he asked someone on his headset but the music volume remained very high.

I had a very unfortunate experience, especially considering that I expected this location to be like most Starbucks stores in which it is common for people to stop by for meetings or just a relaxed and chill time. However, the staff continues to play very loud party music like electronic/EDM.

Overall, this location has great parking and is for the most part very clean but you can't even stop by to have a conversation with someone so you should consider that when stopping by.
