Wild Ginger Xpress Hibachi & Ramen is a great, casual Asian fusion spot on Long Island. The feel is that of an express eatery, with a nicely put together dining room that is often empty. The full experience of food and service is awesome. The staff is attentive, kind, understanding, and great.
The food is fantastic, yummy, and delicious, with all meat coming fresh from the butcher directly next door. Portion sizes are huge, leaving diners feeling full and satisfied. Meals like the Hibachi Chicken/Beef, filet mignon hibachi, Szechuan Beef, beef rice bowl, and Miso Chicken Kara-Age Ramen are all very good, warming, and satisfying. The best pork belly and Wonton soup are highlighted, and the fried rice slapped. The chili oil and fresh ingredients elevate the ramen. Boba is also better and cheaper than at many specialty shops.
The food takes a while to arrive but is worth the wait because it is fresh. It is extremely affordable, giving you your money’s worth, with dinner around $12. Overall, it is an outstanding and absolute must for people who enjoy Asian food.
