Terrible place. Took an hour to get 2 quesadillas and we were the only people in the restaurant. Overpriced, slow, and bad service.

Better dinner experience than breakfast, but still a below average hotel bar. They were out of most sides and several other mains, so we all just got burgers and I ordered some spinach and artichoke dip for the table to share. The chips were kind of stale and the dip was probably the worst form of it I've seen with whole pieces of canned artichoke cuts in it. Burgers were overcooked but not inedible, which is average and, for a hotel, expected. Having dined at a table and the bar, I can say I have sat there with an empty drink for 15 minutes while servers did tasks behind the bar, not serving or engaging guests. The room is decent, one large table, a bunch of 4 seaters and a bar with about 10-15 seats upstairs and downstairs another room with more tables.Breakfast listed the buffet for $24.99 (a burger with fries is $19) and when I sat down the server told me the breakfast buffet was $31.15. I repeated it back to him as a question and he confirmed $31.15. I got up and left.Good luck finding anything else nearby though!

Food and service was very good. It's a hotel restaurant with good food. We were only 2 of 7 people in the place.

This is what $50 gets you for room service. That “Caesar salad” was $16. It’s a side salad with Caesar dressing. Wings were wrong but when they brought the right ones (buffalo) those were pretty tasty.

I don't know if the waiter made an honest mistake or was trying to rip me off. I had a meal voucher from the airline for $12. I ordered a steak dinner for $39 and a Coke. When he handed me the check, it was almost $56. When I looked at it, included was an $8 gratuity. Ok whatever, it's New York. So with my voucher subtracted, I owed $44. I handed him $60 cash. When he brought my change, he only gave me $11. I wasn't concerned about him deciding to round up and keep the loose change, but he was $5 short in what he returned to me. As I was ready to leave, I brought it to his attention. He went through his pockets and didn't have anything small enough to give me my $5. He asked another server and she didn't have change either. So he said he would have to run upstairs to get change, which he finally did. I talked with the other server while he was gone, mentioning the gratuity automatically included in my bill and not telling me. She said they sometimes do that. Sometimes?? So had I not looked at the bill, I probably would have tipped on top of that. Plus being short changed because he apparently didn't have the right change to give me and hoped I wouldn't notice? I've been to and was just returning from a third world country where some people try to rip off foreigners who don't pay attention with other currencies. I feel like this waiter was trying to rip me off as well in my own country. I was there at 10pm on Weds May 10, 2023.

Servers were great but dinner is horrible honestly. The spin dip tasted like it was set on fire combined with burnt hair. The chicken was pink in some spots. Just unsettling to be honest.

Terrible front desk personnel and manager. I booked a king room on a high floor and was given a king room on the 3rd floor of 9 floors. I called the front desk and was told the "high" floors are from the 5th floor to the 9th floor, but they could not accommodate me because there were no other rooms available. I asked for a refund since I paid for an upgraded room and the desk clerk told me I would have to speak with AAA since I booked the room through their website. They did not know that I booked an upgraded room. I then spoke to the manager who offered me breakfast and told me I was in the correct room because the "high" floor rooms are from the 3rd floor to the 9th floor. I let the manager know this was unacceptable and I felt as if the rules suddenly changed. He insisted that the first person I spoke with gave me incorrect information. I find it hard to believe that a "high" floor includes the 3rd floor of a building with 9 floors. It seems that either the manager is making up policy as fits his needs or his employees are not properly trained. Either way, I would stay away from this place. Bathroom tile is disgusting and paper is peeling off the wall in the room. Half of the plugs do not work. Furniture is pretty shabby. Restaurant is under construction and moved into basement where they had a bar and a limited menu. Can soda or water or juice were the only non-alcoholic options. They didn't even have ice tea. Access to this restaurant required taking stairs.

If you need to eat then it’s there. But that’s about it. I was seated and as soon as I told the waiter I wanted the buffet he disappeared and never returned to take a drink order or see if I needed anything.I did the buffet because I was in a hurry. But $25 for this breakfast was a bit much. The selection was limited and the food was bland.By the way - they don’t bother mentioning that gratuity is included with the buffet! Literally paid for service I did not receive. And the first receipt the hostess gave me did not even state that. I had to ask.Atmosphere isn’t great either. It’s in the basement. Their actually upstairs bar is closed so they just have this underground breakfast spot. Just beware of the auto gratuity. I should have asked them to remove it because I literally received zero service!

The food is very good but the quality of the service needs to improve.

Ok restaurant but there's not a lot of items on the menu and it's pretty pricey but considering there's not too many welcoming places to eat nearby, you may be forced to eat here or catch an Uber to a different neighborhood for

We did not plan on staying here-we were guests of Delta due to a missed connection. At first I was heartened to hear we weren’t going to be put up in the Hotel 8 but those rosy projections were soon dampened. The hotel room was a dark hole from which emanated the stench of old smoke and dirty feet. There were 2 lamps in the room which did nothing to dispel the gloom. Maybe that was intentional to hide the overall decrepit state of the room. The bathroom sink was cracked and stained. The paint chipped. Glad I couldn’t see the carpet well. We were given a $40 food voucher for the hotel restaurant. What a joke. The eatery is in the basement-clearly an afterthought. The menu is very limited and very expensive. $19 hamburger. We ate as quickly as we could and escaped. That night we were serenaded by groups of young children yelling and running up and down the hallway yelling and knocking on doors. We called security but nothing was done. Not a place I would voluntarily stay again.

Our flight changed, which required us to stay overnight near JFK, so we chose this hotel for its close proximity to the airport and airport shuttle service. This hotel is very dingy, out-dated, and in need of a deep, deep clean everywhere. Staff was friendly. Walking to our room was daunting, as we noticed numerous cosmetic issues in disrepair, such as hand-painted room numbers in place of actual placards, ceiling tiles soaked and bulging from some kind of leak, scuffs all over the walls, and an absolutely overwhelmingly horrid fragrance that is pumped in with the air. The hotel room was in a similar state of disrepair: stained sheets, dirty walls in the bathroom, sagging mattress... I felt really uncomfortable here, overall. Thankfully, we had a quiet night's sleep and were out early the next morning. Airport shuttle service was convenient, but the driver drove like a maniac, sometimes reaching 60mph in 30mph zones with a van full of people and luggage! I'm sure he was just rushing to pick up the next load of guests, but still... Needless to say, we won't be staying here again.

I stayed the night before a flight with park and stay. Arriving to the hotel was very confusing. The parking sign was blocked by another vehicle. After this check-in was very smooth and simple from the valet to the front desk. Check out is automatic. Upon return from my vacation the shuttle was waiting at Federal Circle and by the time I arrived at the hotel my car was there waiting for me. Outside of some noisy guests on my floor (the facility cannot help this) the night was restful. I understood the lounge being under construction but when we decided to go to the restaurant for a drink, people were sitting and eating at the "bar" the place was full of empty tables. I would stay here again before my next vacation.
