When I accidentally moved to South Ozone Park from Portland, Oregon in the summer of 2024, to care for a family member, Sofia’s has been a place of refuge. The guys in the restaurant are so kind and friendly. The quality of their food is outstanding. My favorite is the Stuffed Shells and Tortellini topped with mozzarella to oven baked goodness. Their pizza slices are always delicious. And, I get a good tight hug every time I go to Sofia’s. I recommend them if you’re looking for excellent Italian food.

Ordered this from staying close by at a hotel for a layover at JFK. Arrived super greasy, took a while for it to arrive. The tiramisu was in the same box as the garlic knots so it basically was melted and warm. The garlic knots were very good, but that was the best there was. I will not order again despite the hotel recommending the spot.

I'm actually heading there right now as I write this review. This my go to spot for beef patty with cheese or Mushroom Sicilian slice. It's Italian own has a family vibe. I've haven't there food dishes but when I see other customers eating it looks very good. Definitely recommend it if you in the area.

This pizza shop has been around for over 30 years! Sofia's Pizza was super busy with non stop calls coming in?Their customer service is okay and the place is like original.I like that, the ovens seem like they're more original. Has this antique vibe and the pizza is very sweet I like the uniqueness. 🍕🍭🍕

Love this place! The pizza is fire, last time I was there I got a Sicilian and a pepperoni with stuffed crust both were delicious. Will definitely be going back.
My first time ordering from here. I was so hungry I got the closest spot to me, I got garlic knots & the chicken roll The garlic knots were really little and so oily it made me sick in my belly. The chicken roll wasn’t tasty either , cheesy but bland. It’s sad because I ordered from here because of all the good reviews I saw. Please less grease in the garlic knots - I literally squeezed oil out of the bread . Not cool , tastes garlicky but definitely too much oil .

I’m writing this with a heavy heart after what happened to my family. We came to this restaurant hoping to enjoy a simple meal together. Our special-needs son relies on his trained service animal for comfort and safety, and we never imagined we would be turned away because of him.
The staff insisted on seeing “paperwork” for the service animal, even though in New York—and under federal ADA law—no paperwork is required. We tried to explain this calmly, but we were still refused service. Standing there with our son watching everything unfold was heartbreaking. It felt like we were being judged for having a child with disabilities instead of being welcomed like any other family.
We left feeling humiliated and hurt. No family should have to experience that, especially one already working hard to support a child with special needs. I truly hope the restaurant takes this experience seriously and trains their staff, so no other child or parent has to feel the way we did.👎🏾

Nick the owner was very polite and welcoming. The establishment was so clean and the pizza smelled as good as it taste . They were closing but frank who is one of the awesome employees was able to get us food despite them getting ready to lock up the store. Thank you so much Nick and frank for making our night with your warm hospitality and generosity. It was gladly appreciated and we will be back very soon!
