Quogue is so fortunate to have become the new location for Schmidt’s. This new bright and cheerful foodie destination is Southampton Village’s greatly missed loss. Their apple pear homemade pie was outstanding and not overly sweet. Miss Schmidt’s immensely and note that their former location remains an empty shell. The Southampton Landlord screwed up big time.

The seafood is delicious, and the store/ deli is packed with del foods and fresh produce. A very east end ,rustic, type of place which I enjoyed visiting for our outing out east to get some fresh air and away from covid.

You would not think from the looks of the place that there's first class fish and seafood inside. You might not think the advice would be first rate. That's what I thought, and I was wrong. Skip Citarella and hit this place...get the same fish just as fresh (and for a dollar or three less per pound.)
