“@fred terry made this spot on the stretch what it is today. @gingerbreadUniversity, Gingerbread Fred, Fred Terry, My ol' boss at the Lobster Roll Northside on Sound Ave in Riverhead, NY... This man and his business lifelong accomplice, Chef Pete are the customer based/retail version of why and how I got into food. Fred, Pete, Sous/Exec Jorge, Brandon, and yes... even Justin taught me the lines and roles of each station in a restaurant. Honey, I was green and sad and super motivated. These guys rode me like white on fkn rice. Due to that whoo-hah, I can carry my own brigade and make a killing in the raw arena. Fred was a master at his craft 60ish years ago and still is - encouraging line cooks to expound and expand 20+ years down the line. forever grateful.”

“Ate there with my entire family. Started with fresh avocado dip and chips, then had 6 dinners on the menu all different. Everyone DELICIOUS !!. Atmosphere was busy but not real noisy We could eat and chat without shouting. The wait staff was attentive but not hovering. They would look from a distance and see if we needed anything. A great taste I had the steak and it was fabulous. Easy to get to and we all had a great time !!”

“went with 2 other people, and one of the burgers was undercooked (she asked for no pink and there was a lot of pink). the cheese part of the mac and cheese was pasty, like it was a bechamel sauce with extra flour on instead of a mornay sauce, aka they did the flour butter and milk but added no actual cheese to it. the fries were tasty and the burgers were well seasoned. i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.”

“Service here was wonderful - keep it up. Food is delicious and the margaritas very well made and taste fresh. Sitting in here realizing it used to be half of La Parm was an added treat. So nice to see a well run business move into this space. We will be back 100%.”

“Had a great lunch for 4 on the outside tables off the sidewalk. Mahi mahi tacos and reubens were excellent. The cucumber salad was almost as good as my grandmother's. The German potato salad would have been better if it wasn't served lukewarm. Our server, I believe his name was Alex, did a good job answering questions. Service was prompt.”

“Pellegrino‘s is some of the finest Italian food on the East End. It also is a cool place to hang out with a casual vibe with no pretense.. as a local realtor when people ask me, what’s a great restaurant in the north sea area Pellegrino is always the first to come to mind. Great food fantastic service a small, but vibrant bar area or what you’ll find here.
They make a great pizza.
I cannot recommend this place more highly.
Stop in for a bite you will not be disappointed.”

“Overall had a really great experience. Cool, historic building. Highlight of the meal was definitely the build-your-own burger. The beef was juicy, cooked perfectly to order, and they have a massive selection of toppings and sauces. Fries were also excellent. The price point feels a bit steep for a burger and fries, even by Hamptons standards. Service was on slower side.”

“Best pizza in town and the prices make sense. A great place to go with your family and friends. The owner is the nicest and we couldn’t stop ordering their pizzas whenever we want to Uber Eats! Best clam soup ever too”

“They have a nice outdoor seating area in the back (beware of the wasps). I had a bacon egg and cheese in a bagel with OJ - it was pretty good. It’s a deli, food is much better than The Golden Pear and 1/3 of the price.”

“Stumbled by this bistro in Southampton and decided to go in for lunch. To our pleasant surprise we had a wonderful meal with excellent wine pairings suggested by our server, we loved our lunch so much we decided on having dinner at their NYC location the next evening, needless to say it was magnificent! Looking forward to trying the other locations….”

Between my wife, 13 month old, and I, we ate 2 perfectly cooked cheeseburgers, moist yet crunchy chicken sandwich, and deliciously seasoned fried shrimp, all with heavenly seasoned fries, in 1 sitting!!! My daughter just sucked the seasoning off the fries then shared the leftover to our husky..!! Really nice friendly people! Will definitely go back!!!”

“I have had dinner here several times. Love the veal parm and my partner loves whole fish. However, most recently the waiter Palmer ruined our meal. He ignored us, then when he came over and I asked for a recommendation because my partner is gluten intolerant. He shrugged and acted like he could not be bothered to speak to the kitchen with a question. Throughout our meal he acted dismissive. He did not come back to us after he took our order and our entree plates were not cleared for 20 min. We deserved better.”

“Capt. Phil and his team delivered an awesome beach party last night in Southampton. From appetizers to dessert everything was superb. Freshest clams ever, with Phill shucking non-stop for our guests. The lobster was good and the steak was excellent. Tables were beautifully set with lanterns and torches down the beach plus a giant bonfire! Best for me: they did EVERYTHING PERFECTLY, so we really got to socialize with our friends. Our guests were raving, (even our most jaded Hamptons friends). This was an event to remember and I will always be thankful to Capt. Phil and his extraordinary team!”

You could have ordered a small “dolphin,” a medium “shark,” or a large “whale” and the whale roll has the most lobster meat. The whale roll is more expensive but I think it was worth it. I bought a raspberry iced tea for my drink. There is only outdoor seating, including a grass area you can bring dogs. You order at the window and bring the food to the tables with benches. There is no indoor seating. The restaurant is a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Southampton. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back!”

“Fresco is terrific - all of the food is fresh and delicious. I love the Italian hero, the Grandma's pie, the pepperoni pizza - the garlic knots are addictive. With such a wide selection you will find many things you like and it's worth coming back to try them all. The staff really cares and the Owner sets that tone. Fantastic! Will always come back to Fresco.”

We had a variety of lobster tacos, fritters, shrimp and fries, Cajun lobster rolls, lobster bisque. Everything was made to order, fresh and absolutely delicious 😋 💯. Worth the trip from Hempstead, NJ, Greenlawn and Mastic. Will go again.”

“I stopped by Melrose last night at 10 PM, hoping to grab something last minute. It had already been a little bit of an adventure, my dogs had run away as I was leaving the house, so by the time I finally made it there, the place was already closed.
The owner was walking out when he saw me and recognized me. I apologized for missing closing, but instead of simply saying, “Sorry, we’re closed,” he was incredibly kind and actually invited me back inside and made something for me.
Now, maybe that sounds like a small thing, but to me, it wasn’t.
I work in restaurants, and I know exactly what it feels like at the end of a long shift, when you’re exhausted, you’ve been dealing with customers all day, and all you want to do is go home. And yet, this guy chose kindness and hospitality anyway.
That is what hospitality is supposed to be.
It’s not just about the food or the service. It’s about the human moment. It’s about making someone feel taken care of when you absolutely don’t have to.
That experience meant a lot to me.
Wow. Just wow.
That’s the kind of restaurant owner, hospitality, and genuine kindness I aspire to create myself.
