Shinnecock Eats Cafe is hands down my go-to lunch spot in the area. I'm consistently pleased with their tasty food. While it's not haute cuisine, it's comfort food for the soul that won't break the bank. My usual order is the medium plate of Bain- Marie-style dishes, offering a nice variety including rice, beans, chicken, and several meat stews, not to mention the plantains and sometimes vegetables. We stopped for breakfast on our way to Montauk. Definitely order an omelette; it was huge and stuffed full of veggies. I asked for ham to be added. It's nothing fancy; order at the deli counter & served in to-go containers. Coffee is serve yourself, and gets a from me because they had flavored creamer as well as 1/2 & 1/2 and milk. The bathroom was very clean.

Shinnecock Lobster Factory makes amazing lobster rolls! I ordered a warm, buttery “whale” roll. You could have ordered a small “dolphin,” a medium “shark,” or a large “whale” and the whale roll has the most lobster meat. The whale roll is more expensive but I think it was worth it. I bought a raspberry iced tea for my drink. There is only outdoor seating, including a grass area you can bring dogs.
