“Pellegrino‘s is some of the finest Italian food on the East End. It also is a cool place to hang out with a casual vibe with no pretense.. as a local realtor when people ask me, what’s a great restaurant in the north sea area Pellegrino is always the first to come to mind. Great food fantastic service a small, but vibrant bar area or what you’ll find here.
They make a great pizza.
I cannot recommend this place more highly.

“I stopped by Melrose last night at 10 PM, hoping to grab something last minute. It had already been a little bit of an adventure, my dogs had run away as I was leaving the house, so by the time I finally made it there, the place was already closed.
The owner was walking out when he saw me and recognized me. I apologized for missing closing, but instead of simply saying, “Sorry, we’re closed,” he was incredibly kind and actually invited me back inside and made something for me.
Now, maybe that sounds like a small thing, but to me, it wasn’t.
I work in restaurants, and I know exactly what it feels like at the end of a long shift, when you’re exhausted, you’ve been dealing with customers all day, and all you want to do is go home. And yet, this guy chose kindness and hospitality anyway.
That is what hospitality is supposed to be.
It’s not just about the food or the service. It’s about the human moment. It’s about making someone feel taken care of when you absolutely don’t have to.
That experience meant a lot to me.
Wow. Just wow.
That’s the kind of restaurant owner, hospitality, and genuine kindness I aspire to create myself.

“Born in New York and grew up in Huntington. This is my First time at Romas and visiting mom from Virginia, my son has never been to any authentic New York pizza joints. So when we tried Roma’s, he had the Sicilian and he told the owner “it’s the best pizza he ever ate”. Coincidentally the owner knows Tony from our local pizza place in Virginia. Real glad we got up for some real New York pizza before leaving to go home in little ol’ Virginia.“
